It is located about 10 minutes away from the Kota Kinabalu City centre, and at the entrance of Bukit Padang. lovely reflection! nice lightings so crowded with people We were waiting impatiently for the water to boil.. We steamboat away.. while being entertained by the Sabah Cultural dances on the floating stage.

Poring Hot Spring

Image
It was about two and a half hour journey to Poring from Kota Kinabalu. Here's the Poring Hot Spring. Many local kids were already in the pool. I wanted to try this but the flow of the water was too slow. I wanted to swim too but the pool was too congested with locals. After the canopy walk, we had some time here. My mum just wanted to rest. But so many people were enjoying themselves there. So I insisted that my girl accompanied my mum to soak her tired legs.

Poring Canopy Walk

It is estimated that 75% of tropical rainforest animals spend most of their time in the forest canopy. There are 3 circuits of canopy walkways with a total length of 373.6 meters and a height of up to...

One of the most outstanding pieces of architecture in Sabah is none other than the State Mosque. With its majestic dome and stunning gold inlay motifs, the mosque sits a stone's throw away from the city centre. It is a unique combination of prevailing Islamic architecture and contemporary design. http://www.sabahtourism.com/ Significant dome!

Signal Hill Observatory

Image
We had a short stop to see the Atkinson Clock tower from our bus. Not very tall though. Then we continued our journey to the Signal Hill Observatory. Here's the Observatory Platform. Cool right? Can you spot the Atkinson Clock Tower? See the vast ocean ahead! Look beyond! Part of the Kinabalu Range.. Signal Hill, the highest point in the city, is one of the best places to get a good view of Kota Kinabalu . Just a couple of minutes drive from Padang Merdeka will bring you to the airy deck where you can get amazing views that extend to the outlying islands of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park and further.
