Oh Sushi

Image
We went to Oh Sushi at the De Gardens one fine Friday night. Since we haven't been there before, I would love to give it a try. Just before we made an entrance, my girl told me that the restaurant would give 5% discount for Jusco Card holder. So I had to go back to my car to get my card. I left it to them to find a place inside the restaurant. When I came back with the card, I saw that they were seated next to the counter just immediately after the entrance. Well, normally, I would find a seat further away from the counter. Since they were already seated, I wouldn't want to make a fuss about it. The place looked good. I started taking some pictures. While they chose their meals, I simply had a look at the menu and started snapping away. I was hardly into half the menu book, I heard a voice from behind, "Don't take pictures of the menu!" It was loud and clear. I stopped and pretended nothing had happened. But I was grumbling softly, "I do it for you. Don't

Good News Cup

This is a very special mug.. "Have a hot drink and be blessed! I was curious as I saw it standing on the table at my friend's place. It has a ceramic cover. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." According to the giver, the mug had to be filled with hot water. I was eager to see the transformation so my friend poured hot water into it and covered it. Immediately, I could see it! created..separated here.. loved..redeemed and here..all around the mug risen..reconciled Isn't it amazing? But I am not sure how the words are connected. I definitely loved the word "reconciled"

Reconciliation

My mum has eight children. We were rather poor and when my eldest sister was born, my mum was not able to take care of her. My grandmother who was my father's stepmother, adopted her. My mum was not allowed to visit my sister at all. So as she grew up, she regarded herself an orphan. But my aunties ie my father's stepsisters, were understanding and they tried to make our relationship worked. However, she knew that she has 4 brothers and 3 sisters. I was in the same school as her. We did see each other quite often in school. As I grew older and I knew how to cycle, I would cycle to my grandmother's house to visit my sister. One day, I talked to my sister about our parents. She was not happy as she was the only one not with the family. I told her to reconcile with my mum but she refused saying that my grandmother was the one that supported her through and not my mum. I told her that she was lucky as she could go to university but not us as my parents couldn't afford it. S

Christmas Hampers

Image
Well, I started wrapping hampers as a novice. I started in June 2008 when I did the very first one. I took ages in just wrapping a single hamper. I even needed help from someone in accomplishing the wrapping. As time goes by, I become better and better. Now I just do it all on my own. Here's my hampers! Guess.. How much were they? That's my very spot where I always do my hampers. Here, I did the smallest one. It's only RM30! Very saleable too!

I have known this couple since 1999 when we did our Tesl degree together. We enjoyed each other's company when we were away from our hometown studying in UPSI. We did our assignments together too. After graduating, we still keep in touch with each other. Both of them are my only Indian friends who always visit me during CNY and I am their only Chinese friend who always visit them during Christmas. After a short stop at my husband's shop to get some stuff as gifts, my girl and I quickly rushed to their house at about 11pm. Merry Christmas, my dear friend! Nice to see you! We were treated to breakfast as we hadn't taken our breakfast yet. That's puttu mayam! When the food for lunch came, we had another round of enjoying the food. the rice curry mutton dhal chicken mixed vegetables vegetarian mutton acar We tried all the food except mutton.. After that, we quickly got back to my husband's shop where I was busy wrapping Christmas hampers for sales until almost 8pm!

Happy Red Christmas!

Togetherness! Last Sunday, I bought Christmas caps for my staff. Since Monday, we had been wearing the caps. They were all very cooperative. I decided that we wore red on Christmas day and they were complying very well. So today we wore red to celebrate Christmas. The customers were amazed to see us in good Christmas spirit. We were all so gleeful and cheerful! Peace to you! Harmony to you! Sincerity! Fairness! Cheerful! Loving! Joy to you! Merry Christmas!
