Famous Taiping Fried Kueh Teow

After we left Hayley's place, we went to the Casual Market. On the way, I spotted this fire station. I remembered I did a research about the fire station when I was at the college. It brought back sweet memories.

the Casual Market

Smile..You are on candid camera!
I ordered the famous fried kueh teow from this stall.

love the ingredients

she used a kind of leave for wrapping the kueh teow

packed..
I bought 14 of those packets..
for my staff, workers and family

I ate there..
yummy..

my mum just enjoyed her Hailam Chicken Rice.

When I reached home, I ate another packet before I went to work in the evening. Later at night, after work, I ate yet another packet which my BIL didn't want to take it.

I simply love the Taiping fried kueh teow!

    7. SK, you should come to Taiping to taste this type of only Taiping famous style CKT, you can't find it in KL or SIBU. If you find also, it won't be as nice as Taiping one.

  13. I asked some hawkers before about using leaves to wrap. They told me that it could allow the food to "breathe" and that makes the food tastier too with added fragrance from leaf. You believe?

  22. I miss the 60's CKT where you find rows of charcoal stove with CKT men sitting in a small folding stools frying CKT and the aroma can be sniffed across the bus station, and it only cost 70 cents a plate those days. So with 1.00 ringgit you can have a plate of CKT and ice kachang for 30 cents. Can we have the 60's back please.
