Peacock Garden
The peacock garden located along the road encircling the Sun Moon lake is a mini-zoo, noting it was established in October 1968 at the instruction of then-President Chiang Kai-shek to add to the beauty of the tourist spot.

There are over 200 peacocks in the gardens, which span more than four hectares and also include other precious fowl such as golden pheasants, silver pheasants, blue magpies and silver pheasants.
