Lost and found
My husband was washing our car and there was a ringing tone from his handphone. Quickly I grabbed the handphone and passed it to him.
After answering his call, he continued with his chore. I was inside the house doing my housework.
Then, after a short while, he told me he had to go out. So off he went.
Not long afterwards, I received a call from my husband. He called using his shop's phone. That was no surprise as sometimes he doesn't use his handphone. He asked me to check if he had left his phone anywhere.
Hunting high and low, I still couldn't find his handphone.
I recalled giving him the phone while he was washing his car. He couldn't recall where he put it.
So I suppose he had dropped it somewhere. The next day, I received an unknown call. I answered it and it was from someone nearby. She asked if I could see her at the given address as she had found a handphone. It must be my husband's phone.
Quickly, I drove out and met this girl. She was working in a sundry shop.
Out of gratitude, I gave her a sum of money. Initially, she refused but after much persuasion from me and her boss, she accepted.
I was thankful for her kindness. My husband was relieved that his handphone was found.
Have you ever lost your handphone?
Actually my husband left it on the bonnet of the car..

yeap, it was long ago and a motorola startac - small, tiny and monochorome screen, not using GSM network yet. It was theft actually! I placed it on my desk for charging in my ex-company and when I returned back, it was gone.
ReplyDeleteWow!! What a luck!
ReplyDeleteNormally,it's IMPOSSIBLE (close to) to find back your phone after you lost it.....
I lost before..now habuk also cannot see... =_=
BTW, added you in my blog roll :)
ReplyDeleteLeft on the bonnet of his car? Means the girl took it from there? How was able to call you? Husband put your contact as wife? Usually try to conceal family names such mom, bro, or such in the mobile phone. Cause if it was taken by someone who has ill intentions, they will make use of the phone to call people in your fmaily and claim things.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice of that person to return to it. I lost my mobile phone before... and never saw it again, my memory card is inside too... mobile gone is fine, but the memories are no longer retrievable :(.
