Pets Wonderland
We visited the Pets Wonderland when we were in Mid-Valley Megamall. Not suppose to take pictures but secretly snapshot some of them.
Not too long ago, in certain areas in Kula Lumpur, Mr Chew Boon Kee, Pets Wonderland founder, noticed that pet shops were just stores selling animals. The animals were treated as commodities, housed in squalid conditions, with little thought (or investment) for their comfort and well-being. Mr Chew dreamed of something much more user friendly and much more pet friendly...
Services
- Medicated bath
- Tick / Flea Spray
- Groom & De-tangle for Rabbits & Guinea Pigs
- Nail / Feather Clipping for Birds
- Nail Clipping for Iguanas
Iguanas are diurnal, meaning that they are awake during the day. They are also cold-blooded, which means they do not produce their own body heat.
Green iguanas are omnivorous, so they eat both plants and meat. They tend to eat mostly plants especially leaves and fruits. Sometimes green iguanas (especially young ones) will eat eggs, insects, and small vertebrates.
Hamsters are stout-bodied, with tails much shorter than body length, and have small furry ears, short stocky legs, and wide feet. Their thick, silky fur, which can be long or short, can be black, gray, honey, white, brown, yellow, "sapphire", "champagne" or red depending on the species, or a mix of any of those colours.
Hamsters are hindgut fermenters and must eat their own feces in order to digest their food a second time.
The Shih-Tzu is an alert and spunky little dog. Happy and hardy, endowed with loads of character. The gentle loyal Shih-Tzu makes friends easily and responds well to consistent patient training. They make a very alert watch dog. Courageous and clever. Playful and lively, this affectionate little dog likes to be with people and are generally good with other pets.
The Miniature Schnauzer is a small dog, with masses of hair on its elongated head. This dog has a square shape, with oval, dark eyes and a short tail (usually docked). It has a strong, long muzzle and coat colors come in black, white, salt & pepper or black and silver. The hair is harsh and wire-like on the body, but softer and longer on the face. This breed has a sturdy and neat appearance, and its dark eyes lend it an intelligent and watchful expression.
The Maltese is a hardy little companion dog with a luxurious silky white coat hanging straight to the ground on each side of a center part line. The coat is single, with no undercoat, and should not be wavy, curly or kinky.
We noticed that the orange and white shih tzu was yearning for its family. It kept looking away from the others which were happily playing.
Poor guy! Wish I could take it home.
