For Scenic Sunday

I posted about humming bird on 7 Sept 2009. It has been almost 2 months. The flowers which the bird visited have grown a lot.

Now you can see 8 tiny flowers. See the measurement.


The flowers are so nicely arranged.


This group has only 7 flowers.


Look at the branches and the leaves.


I used to see the bird coming to the plant. But every time I wanted to video it, it would fly away. My son managed to take some of its pictures.

The bird was looking at the camera.


Then it was looking at the flowers.


It was sucking nectar from the flower.


It took a last look at the camera before it flew away.



One day, my daughter caught it in action.

    Wow..have never seen this flower before and they're named Hummingbird?

    I only know the bird type hummingbird.

    my mom has that plant. she just bought it about 3 weeks ago n is crossing her fingers n toes that it will survive. my last trip back to malacca, i saw five birds but they are green leh!

    Is that hummingbird? I think it is because just last Saturday I saw one at my mum's place. Really a very small green bird. My first time seeing that bird in reality.

    That flower is sure unique. Never seen it before.

At Harrods

We visited the famous Harrods.. the Harrods building   the store's interior has an Ancient Egyptian theme... Harrods is a high-end department store located in Brompton Road in Brompton , in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea , London . Twin bananas

Today this cute little darling visited me. His grandparents brought him over for the very first time. He's so cute as he smiled readily. I was tempted to carry him and he was fine with that. Some babies don't like strangers.  I carried him and kissed his cheek several times..So adorable. Without hesitation, I gave him an ang pow. his granddad put him on the table and I took a shot of him.. When I went back home in the evening, I realized that the bunch of bananas at the altar has ripen. I brought the bunch to my shop and shared with my people. There was this particular twin bananas and my worker wanted them. She peeled them and I could see that they were adjoined all the way down. Well, old wives tale has it that those ladies who ate them would give birth to twins in future..
