Egypt

The Great Pyramid of Giza (also called the Pyramid of Khufu and the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now El Giza, Egypt, and is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that survives substantially intact.

The Sphinx is the largest monolith statue in the world,
standing 73.5 m (240 ft) long, 6 m (20 ft) wide, and 20 m (66 ft) high.
It is the oldest known monumental sculpture.

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a statue of a reclining lion with a human head

The interior is complex,
with a series of passages leading to several rooms.

The pyramid remained the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years, unsurpassed until the 160-meter-tall spire of Lincoln Cathedral was completed c. 1300.

Well, we didn't spent much time inside the pyramid. It was a little eeirie as we saw a mummy lying somewhere inside it.

But it was indeed a wonderful experience. Wonder how it would feel like inside a real pyramid in Egypt.

  8. They do have interesting things in that park. You asked how does it feels to go in the Pyramid in Egypt – well I went there a couple of times – first of all you have to go up large stones and inside it is tiny. It makes you feel small and insignificant in a way when you realize how old they are.

  13. Inside the real pyramid is dark, hot and stuffy, some might feel the vibrations. You need to 'crawl' in from the side, first downslope then upslope to reach the middle chamber where the tomb is, which is directly facing the center point of the apex.
