the Harrods building
the store's interior has an Ancient Egyptian theme...
Harrods is a high-end department store located in Brompton Road in Brompton, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London.
The store occupies a 5-acre (20,000 m2) site and has over one million square feet (90,000 m2) of selling space in over 330 departments.
The Harrods motto is Omnia Omnibus Ubique—All Things for All People, Everywhere. Several of its departments, including the seasonal Christmas department and the Food Hall, are world famous.
What a great old store! I remember that they have a really nice food hall.
ReplyDeleteI was there but not able to go in... Why? Coz i wore short, t-shirt and scandal. Sigh~
ReplyDeleteNice Harrods building! Did you buy anything there?
ReplyDeleteStill having their strict rules on proper dress code? Many people went but bought only their plastic bag - 1 pound each...so they could carry around and show off that they've been to Harrods... LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteHi My first experience in Harrods was fairly memorable...and then I lost track of my good friend..those were the days of no handphone..good thing we promised to meet at a certain place at a certain time....I think I will still find it daunting to be in a huge mega mall....I have eternal phobia of huge caverns...
