Southern Alps

We got to view the mountains of the Southern Alps from Ashburton which is a large town in the Canterbury Region, on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand.

sunny but cool as the wind was blowing

My SIL has learned to take pictures with her phone for this trip.

a close-up shot of the snow-tipped mountains

interesting..
we saw more of that later on

We checked in at Hotel Ashburton.
They still used the keys..

cozy double bed room
with heated bedsheets and a heater too
The weather was very cold...

and the next morning was a surprise for us..

  9. Ya, I also can't wait to see what's the surprise. I still can't get used to cold countries where it can be very sunny yet still cold.

  10. Think that would be safer with heated sheets to warm the bed that heated blankets nanti 'run current' *chow tin* would be BBQ hahaha. Bananaz not comfortable sleeping in rooms with heater kind like very stuffy to me.
