Detect counterfeit note
It's very easy to get caught if we don't use the money detector. Counterfeit note doesn't show anything on the money detector
Here's showing what we could see through the real note under the uv light of the money detector.
RM1
RM50
RM10
RM5
RM5
RM20
RM1
Now let's see the counterfeit note under the uv light..
RM10
Another way to detect counterfeit money is to touch and feel.
Those words on the real note could be felt
whereas counterfeit note feels smooth.

Thanks for educating us on this. I guess we'll need to get a uv light detector if we are afraid of getting counterfeit money.
ReplyDeletenormal we don't need the detector unless we are in business like mine..
DeleteWere you double checking all the money in the cash register when you found the fake one? What are you going to do with it?
ReplyDeletenowadays we are very careful..we always scan every note that we receive.
DeleteShould we detect a counterfeit, we just return to the owner.
but it happened before that we got caught..the bank cut the note into two pieces and then returned a piece to us..
Are you going to continue blogging your CNY series up to CNY day 15?
ReplyDeleteoh, guess it's back to normal. But there will be a small gathering on CNY Day 15..
DeleteDo you usually sleep this late and wake up early in the morning? Here's wishing you a good night sleep and sweet dreams tonight (or this morning). :)
ReplyDeleteyes as I reach home late. I just need 6 hours sleep.
DeleteGoodnite..
Good thing you have that counterfeit detector!
ReplyDeleteyea..
DeleteSo fake notes would be as smooth as silk..tQ for sharing
ReplyDeletethe paper is rather smooth..
DeleteThanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteI dont think I will know the difference.. whatever I have or whoever gives me money, i Just chuck into the wallet... :)
ReplyDeleteif it's detected as fake one by someone, you got to lose it..
DeleteThanks for sharing! It's useful for us to know, there're just too many fake notes these days!
ReplyDeletejust be very careful when you receive big notes..
DeleteFake notes are quite common in 3rd world countries as the poor people could not tell the difference much. These days the crooks are smart to use special papers that are slightly rough that makes the printer ink hard as well.
ReplyDeleteand they look just like real..
DeleteThe biggest jokes I had was someone telling me that my collection of the Malaya-Japanese Bananas money used during WW2 were all fakes. I asked him to show me the REAL & GENUINE ones!! He could not.
ReplyDeletehe has to prove it..use the detector..
DeleteNow you just gave me goose bumps! I recalled a friend telling me that one of his RM50 was a fake and he got it from the ATM! He could not get proof to verify with the bank! That means it could happen to us.
ReplyDeleteit could happen to just anyone..
Deleteoh, no more CNY series already?? i thought you are going to blog through the whole 15 days.. :)
ReplyDeletevery true, with the advanced printing technology nowadays it's really difficult to differentiate a counterfeit note..
Deletethey can look so real and i guess quite impossible for bare eyes to spot the difference..
Deleteyeah, i heard that you can feel the texture of the notes with fingers.. real ones are coarse while fake ones are smooth.. the colors may fade for counterfeit notes too..
Deleteof course under the UV light, everything will be obvious.. but then not everyone will carry one UV light all the time..
Deletethis is a very useful and informative post, it let us know where the security features are on our notes under the UV light, thanks for sharing..
Deletei think by handling hundreds of notes daily, you are very experience with identifying counterfeit notes.. perhaps you can share with us other methods without using the device.. :)
Deletesorry, the day is back to normal until chap goh meh..
Deletewe got to be careful otherwise we could lose a lot..
Aiyoyo, I don't really aware of this. If I got the fake one, I would quickly use it. I never check under the UV light.
ReplyDeleteIt is possible to recieve fake notes and use fake notes, because I can't tell the differences at all.
DeleteNext time, I must try to feel the notes, especially those big big notes.
Deleteyea, just touch the words at he side and you can feel them floating..
Deleteohh i see that is what iam telling you
ReplyDeleteon one of your previous post that one
back when your shop had fake bills issue
we have two and now we bought another detector..
Deletewell most people must be aware of this and
ReplyDeletecellphones must have some sort of checker
like what i have in mine
cellphone can help a lot in that..
Deleteour paper bills also have a lot of security
ReplyDeletefeatures and just like that it has some
uv operated prints
but there is this one marker that was more easy to see
Deleteon the side of our paper bill when you
put it on a regular light there would be
another face alike what was inprinted in the money itself
we have that kind of feature too..
Deleteanyway i remember our government had this
ReplyDeletelimited edition prints of money,
did you had that as well too
yea, some were limited edition..
Deleteby the way im surprise to see a post not a part
ReplyDeleteof your CNY series
no more cny post until this Sunday..
Deletehave a great day and happy blogging wenn
ReplyDeletetake the best of care and god bless you always
thanks..God bless you too..
Deletenow quite hard to detect fake money
ReplyDeleteits good to have the cashier to practice putting the money under the UV light
Deletethose who frequently handle mney can detect fake note la but for those seldom does then susah sikit
Deletethis fake note detected given by customer? what happen then?
