Detect counterfeit note

It's very easy to get caught if we don't use the money detector. Counterfeit note doesn't show anything on the money detector

Here's showing what we could see through the real note under the uv light of the money detector.

RM1

RM50

RM10

RM5

RM20

Now let's see the counterfeit note under the uv light..

RM10

Another way to detect counterfeit money is to touch and feel.
Those words on the real note could be felt
whereas counterfeit note feels smooth.

  1. Thanks for educating us on this. I guess we'll need to get a uv light detector if we are afraid of getting counterfeit money.

    1. nowadays we are very careful..we always scan every note that we receive.
Should we detect a counterfeit, we just return to the owner.
but it happened before that we got caught..the bank cut the note into two pieces and then returned a piece to us..

  9. Fake notes are quite common in 3rd world countries as the poor people could not tell the difference much. These days the crooks are smart to use special papers that are slightly rough that makes the printer ink hard as well.

  10. The biggest jokes I had was someone telling me that my collection of the Malaya-Japanese Bananas money used during WW2 were all fakes. I asked him to show me the REAL & GENUINE ones!! He could not.

  11. Now you just gave me goose bumps! I recalled a friend telling me that one of his RM50 was a fake and he got it from the ATM! He could not get proof to verify with the bank! That means it could happen to us.
