Boost Your Eyesight

1. Eat for bright eyesight

Protect your peepers with a vision-ary diet! Our eyes require multiple nutrients to function optimally.

Start with these:

• Vitamins A, C, E, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight.

Antioxidants, including beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin, protect the macula from sun damage. Get these antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots--notice any color pattern here? Current research shows that consuming yellow and green vegetables can help prevent age-related macular generation, a leading cause of blindness. Find out more about beta-carotene in the Natural Health Dictionary.

• Foods rich in sulfur, cysteine, and lecithin help protect the lens of your eye from cataract formation. Excellent choices include garlic, onions, shallots, and capers.

• Anthocyanin-rich blueberries, grapes, and goji berries have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. Find out more about anthocyanins in the Natural Health Dictionary.

• DHA is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like wild salmon, sardines, mackerel, and cod. DHA provides structural support to cell membranes to boost eye health.

• To prevent dehydration and dry eyes remember to drink filtered water daily: eight 8 ounce glasses every day to lubricate your eyes.

2. Exercise your eyes
These simple exercises will help you maintain optimal vision and may also keep those annoying eye floaters at bay. Perform these exercises first thing in the morning, before bedtime, or any time your eyes feel fatigued. Make sure that your hands are clean and that your mood is relaxed. Commit to daily practice and you may just see better results within one month.

Warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times.

Roll your eyes. Start by looking up and then slowly circle10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise.

Focus. Hold a pen at arm's length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it's about six inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all.

Massage your temples. Using your thumb knuckles, massage your temples in small circles, 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other. Repeat the same actions above the mid-point of the eyebrows at the forehead, then below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose.

Take a mini-nap. Put your head back, close your eyes, and relax for three minutes.

3. Limit Environmental Toxins

External factors can contribute to eye damage. These include fluorescent lights, computer screens, environmental allergens, chlorine in swimming pools, air conditioning and heating, reading in dim lighting, and constant rubbing of the eyes. Do not smoke and limit your exposure to cigarette smoke as it may increase optic pressure. Remember to wear sunglasses to protect your precious eyes from UV exposure.

4. R & R for your eyes

Getting enough sleep is essential for eye health. Sleep time allows your eyes to fully rest, repair, and recover. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for eight hours of sound sleep a night. Give your eyes a break once an hour during your workday: rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids.

You Don't Look Fat

The following situation is familiar to most guys in relationships: You and your girlfriend (or wife) are preparing for a night out and, after she gets dressed, she asks, "Do I look fat in this?" The best answer? "No, of course you don't look fat." (That can be followed by "You're beautiful" or other flattering comments.) Other than ignoring her question entirely, this is the only way to come out of the situation unscathed; any other answers could be twisted into something they didn't mean and door slamming will likely ensue. The bottom line for guys is: She feels chunky and their mission is to put her fears to rest.

I wear whatever I like.
I don't ask for my partner's point of view.
What about you?

Be persistent

Persistence does mean:

You must try something else until you do find a strategy that does work well and then you can keep on doing it because it is bringing you the results that you are looking for.
So how do you develop a persistent attitude?

You must:

1. Have a burning desire to succeed. It is not a need. It is a MUST.

2. Picture yourself reaching your desired goals in your home business or online business.

3. Have faith that you will reach your goals.

4. Have something that can push you on a daily basis to do something. Maybe it is your job that you don’t like and this can be a great motivator to never give up. Maybe you want to improve your income, and knowing this will give you the ability to keep on going despite many failures along the way.

5. Tell yourself that you will succeed and you will do what ever it takes to make your business a success. You have to feed your subconscious mind with positive self talk.

6. Make your own decision that this will work and don’t listen to negative people who will tell you that you should quit. Choosing to be your own boss working from home is YOUR decision and no one else.

7. Read motivational books and listening to tapes. This will give you the right motivation and encourage you to continue.People have used brainwave meditation in order to help them focus and gain more energy on their goals.

8. Associate with the right people who will guide, teach, and encourage you to follow through.

9. Make a commitment. This is one of my favorites. Once you make a commitment, there is no going back or quitting.

My story:

I need to do my housework in the morning and then rush to work before 11am. Will take an hour's break in the evening to prepare dinner. Then rush back to work again until 10pm.

I can't take it anymore. I would rather be a teacher again. But as I said before, I had no choice. I have been working like that for 3 years already. It's time for a change.

Starting yesterday, I decided to work as a normal worker instead of being a spouse-employee. I asked my staff to call me by name instead of 'lady-boss'.

For the past 2 days, I went to work at 9am, had my lunch break at 11am and worked until 8pm yesterday. Today I worked until 6.15pm.

I have to be persistent and I want to achieve this kind of work pattern. Wish me luck.

Powder vs Pill

Although several vitamin and nutritional supplements are available in both pill and powder form, powder has several advantages over pill supplements.

Like liquid supplements, powder is more rapidly absorbed by the body than a supplement contained in pill form. This is one of the reasons that protein powders are superior to protein pills. Although the topic is hotly debated, many body building experts believe that the ideal time for protein absorption is immediately after exercise. If you take your protein in pill form, your body isn’t able to utilize the protein in the pill for hours.

In addition, many supplements that are available in powder form are soluble, or dissolvable, in water. This allows individuals to take their supplements in liquid form, which is both preferable and easier for many people.

Like pill supplements, the active ingredients and enzymes in powder supplements are stable and can last for a relatively long time. This contrasts with liquid supplements, which sometimes lose their potency over the course of several months. Because powder supplements are often mixed with liquid for consumption anyway, this means that you get the advantages of both a liquid and a pill supplement!

One drawback of powder supplements is that they tend to come in large containers that take up a decent amount of space. However, if this isn’t an issue for you, powder supplements are often much cheaper than either pill or liquid counterparts, and you can frequently get great deals on them through online wholesalers.

When Your Spouse Is Also Your Boss!

If you don’t like your boss, or the way he or she is treating you, you can resign and find another job with a more reasonable supervisor. But what if you are also married to your boss? A woman Azriela Jaffe interviewed for Honey, I Want to Start my Own Business, A Planning Guide for Couples, told her that after months of verbal abuse by her husband and supervisor, she quit with no notice, and within a week she was working at a nice salary for someone else. Remarkably, their marriage survived that ordeal. Six months later, after intensive marriage counseling, her husband swallowed his pride and begged her to return, acknowledging her true worth to his business after all. She now keeps a typed letter of resignation by her computer, as a reminder to her husband not to take her value for granted.

Working for your spouse can be the best thing that ever happened to your business and your marriage, if five key ingredients are all, and consistently, present in the mix.

First, the spouse employee must really want to be there, and enjoy the work that he or she is doing.

Second, the spouse-employee must be a competent worker, performing at least as well as co-workers, and representing the company well to customers.

Third, the spouse-supervisor must communicate respect, appreciation, and gratitude for the spouse-employee’s contribution, no worst than the way he or she supervises other employees, and hopefully as good or better.

Fourth, over time, the spouse-employee must start feeling a sense of partnership in the business.

And fifth, the husband and wife must enjoy spending a good deal of time together.

My story:

It was in March 2008 when I stopped teaching and helped my husband in his business. I had no choice as his brother had resigned from the partnership.

In the beginning, it was really tough. My husband expected me to know everything. Furthermore, I was not Chinese educated. It was tough to learn all those medical stuff's names.

Never mind about that. I had to know other stuff too in the business.

My husband put himself under stress and used to take it out on me. I was really angry but I had no say.

I used to hide myself feeling sorrowful but I always came back as if nothing had happened.

If I really had the choice, I want to quit..

It's not easy working with our spouse.

My Camry drive

I had driven my Camry on Sundays 15 May and 22 May.
Thus, Sundays would be my Camry days.
Other days, I would drive my Unser or Corolla to work.

Smooth drive and I love it.

Here's how I drive it..

First of all, I need to put this small control in my pocket.

Then, I simply hold the car handle.
Two beeps could be heard and the car could be opened.
No key needed.

Press the brake hard so that the small light on the engine button turns green.
Press the engine button.
It starts automatically.

Press the buttons on the right to switch on the AC.
Press the left buttons to choose the radio channel.

P, R, N and D. Even S if I wish to drive it manually.

Very easy and simple!

Caring for the heart

Just now we visited an uncle at Pantai Hospital Ipoh. I haven't been to this hospital for quite some time already. The last time I went with my sister as she had to meet a doctor to close a sale.

Pantai Hospital Ipoh

Motto: Caring from the heart

Slogan: We are family. Yes, I can!

Love your baby. Love your family.

Anmum. Materna.

This uncle is suffering from depression. He claims that his sons are not bothered about him. But now he is lying in the hospital. His five sons have to take turns to care for him.

Travel or Stay Home

If you were to get a large sum of money..of course legal ones, what would you do with the money?

Would you just keep it for rainy days or would you use it for traveling?

As for me, I prefer traveling. You can see me traveling here and there. Of course, I used my own money..not my husband's.

I had acquired quite a sum of money in 2009. So that was the reason why I was able to travel to quite a number of places already..

1. In Nov 2009, I went to Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen with my girl.

2. In March 2010, I went to Taiwan with my two girls.

3. In June 2010, I went to Melbourne, Sydney and Gold Coast with my boy.

4. In March 2011, I went to Kota Kinabalu with my mum and my girl.

5. In June 2011, I will be going to Europe..
 Can you guess this city?

I suppose, after this trip, I would have to be quiet for some time and start saving. Why? Because my windfall has almost finished!

Fast n Furious

We hardly go for a movie as a whole family. My husband dislikes movies. Practically, he will sleep through the movie.

The last time we went together was a year ago. He slept soundly in the theatre.

This time, my staff persuaded him to watch as he promised that it would be a very exciting movie.

So two days ago when I asked my husband if he wanted to join us for "Fast n Furious". He said ok. I got my girl to get those tickets yesterday to ensure our seats.

Off we went for the movie this evening. He seemed to be enjoying the movie very much. For the first time ever, he didn't sleep through..

Real Translator Job

Actually, I was looking for a writing job online so I visited a website. They kept on sending me emails about it but I didn't seem to be keen as I was needed to pay in order to get started.

Recently  I received an email, Real Translator Job. It caught my attention as I could be good in translating Bahasa Malaysia into English.

When I clicked the link, here's where I was..
50% off.. that would mean $34 instead of $68.

I was not really keen as I was still needed to pay so I closed the link but
Instead of $34, I was just needed to pay $24

I was still not into it so I closed the link.
Yet another STOP sign.
This time, it's only $14

Guess it could be a hoax so I closed the link.
This page came out instead.

I could pay by credit card or debit card..

Do you think I go for it??
