A new challenge.

My boy is helping at the shop so I have much time to spend at the kitchen in the morning. He wants me to cook chicken for him everyday. Previously I hardly cooked chicken. I usually fried fish for him.

Well, he's skinny and we told him he has to eat a lot of protein so as to put on weight. His sister told him to eat eggs and bread in the morning and eat chicken as his main dish for his meals.

Normally, my cooking is very simple. Now I have to think of ways to cook chicken everyday. Recently, I cooked the chicken below which tasted good for my boy. I just simply seasoned them with light and dark soya sauce for a couple of hours. I also added honey and coarse black pepper. Then I fried them. They turned out nice. He liked them.


Guess I have to google for more ways of cooking chicken.

  1. To save your time you can buy all those raw chickens that have been pre- marinated in various flavours from hyper markets. My friend shared this but I never tried.

    Your son is still young and there is no hurry to get fatter. I was like him once and now fighting battle to be skinny again..... Help!

  4. Try roast chicken !! It can never go wrong.. And it's easy too, clean & no oil splatters... You no need to open work and fry and wipe the oil splatter everywhere..

    Just marinade the chicken, dump in the oven and bake.. Juicy, tender and easy too :)

  5. I also bought a few chicken fillets the other day.. marinated them and now thinking of how to cook them... Now you give me an idea, I will do them this way one of these days.. :)

  6. yeah, chicken is the best source of protein but i guess one should also have a moderate and balanced diet to stay healthy too.. should convince your boy to also eat other meat lah, else you will really face a challenge to cook different types of chicken so that he doesn't get bored with it, hahahaha~~

  7. your boy is still young and skinny, so he can eat anything.. unlike me, eat anything and i can get fat easily but it would be so difficult for me to lose weight.. haiz!! how i wish i could share some of my meat and fat and weight to him, muahahaha~~ :D

  10. That is nice! This is the simple fried chicken for your boy. I love it too.

    I just cooked deep fried nam yue chicken wing for dinner last night. :p

    Get him to take more protein, like those protein powder. But again, some people will remain thin no matter how much they eat. Their metabolism rate is high.

    2. Try this, use boiled egg (have to peel the shell) cook with drumstick or chicken thigh, all my nephews and nieces like this dish!!!
