CNY Day 2

I prepared noodles for breakfast before we adjourned to Taiping for our reunion lunch with my mum and siblings.

before we departed, lighted the fire crackers

my girl was so excited

met both my sisters at the restaurant

my mum and brother were there too

the first dish: lou sang

main dish: poon choi


Poon Choi also known as pun choi or Big Bowl Feast, is a traditional type of dish originating from Hong Kong village Cantonese cuisine. It may also be found in different parts of Hong Kong. It is served in wooden, porcelain or metal basins.

    buying such harmful items
    I've seen a lot of anti firecracker ads and it was so disgusting

  9. I remember when I was young, the restaurants seldom prepare poon choy as their dish. Now almost every restaurants offering CNY meals have poon choy in their menu. I wonder what make poon choy so popular now.

    5. the poon choy looks loaded, but i don't really fancy that.. i prefer to have all those things cooked and eaten separately than having them all mixed into one bowl, they all taste like the same thing this way..

      my first poon choi in malaysia..my first was in HK..

  17. Lou Sang & Poon Choi will not be missed during CNY..Yeah 2nd day is daughter's day to go back home to mom&dad's house, lucky Taiping is not too far from Ipoh.
