My self-baked birthday cake
Yesterday afternoon, I had a quick time baking chocolate banana cupcakes. I found the recipe at JoyOfBaking.
sugar, self-rising flour, cocoa powder and salt
mashed bananas, eggs, oil, water, vanilla essence and milk
Pour Mixture 2 onto Mixture 1 and stir them evenly.
Pour into the paper cups and bake them for 30 mins at 180 degrees.
Yummy and this time, it's all for ourselves!
Chocolate Banana Cake:
2 cups (400 grams) granulated white sugar
1 3/4 cups (245 grams) all-purpose flour
3/4 cup (75 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder (regular or Dutch-processed)
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium sized bananas)
1 cup (240 ml) warm water
1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
1/2 cup (120 ml) corn, safflower or canola oil (or other flavorless oil)
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
When the cakes were ready, I quickly got ready and off my husband and I to the Nestle Appreciation Dinner.
Well, the dinner was almost the same like any other dinner. So I won't show all those food. I would say I love the steamed fish the most.
Apart from that, I enjoyed the performance by a guitarist and a lady singer who sang beautiful songs. Most importantly, we got a door gift from the company and there's also a box of Tai Thong Mooncake.
Just a few minutes ago after 12 midnight, I lighted a candle
on a cupcake to commemorate my birthday.
Then I ate the cake!
Today is my special day!
