Plain truth
At about 4pm today, one of my staff found a RM50 note just under the counter. She gave it to me and I told my three cashiers that I would keep the note first. When I checked their cash machine later, I would know whom it belonged to.
So later I checked their cash machine, none of them had a shortage of RM50. Immediately, my first cashier recalled an incident.
I checked the cctv:
Earlier at about 2.40pm, two customers wanted to buy a RM80 hamper. One of them put two pieces of RM50 on the counter. There was a gush of wind and the notes flew down towards us. My cashier just picked up a piece and showed to the customer that it was not enough. The other customer quickly just gave another piece of RM50.
I wonder why the first customer didn't voice out that he had given RM100. After paying, they went out with the hamper without making any noise.
I hope they would come back and I would return the RM50 to them..
It belongs to them..
good morning wenn!! thank you so much, i received your gifts already.. and yeah, i got that lion with backpack as well as the calendar!! kekekeke~~ love them!!!
ReplyDeleteI have got the pos laju notice, today I will ask my husband to go and collect from pos laju office. Thanks a lot Wenn.
DeleteYou are most welcome! Make sure you take care of my 'babies'. :)
Deleteyeah, i am wondering too, why didn't the customer claimed that she has given 2 pieces of RM50 notes?? maybe she also didn't realize that??
ReplyDeleteboth parties also didn't realise that..
Deleteanyway, good that your staff is honest because she didn't keep that extra RM50 note for her ownself, instead she reported that to you..
ReplyDeleteYes, Wenn you have a very honest staff there. So good for you.
DeleteGood staffs are hard to find and they are valuable asset to the company :)
Deleteso far so good..glad that they are honest.
Deleteyeah, you should ask all staffs to remember the customer and recognise him, so that whenever he steps in again, return that RM50 he has lost..
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree with SK on this. By returning to the customer, you will win the customer's heart for life. They will support your shop for long run.
DeleteI agree too. I would always return to the shop for its service and honesty :)
Deletedefinitely..we even return the smallest coin..
Deletethis is ethical and good service.. i am sure all your customers are happy and will return giving you more business.. HUATT AH~~~ :D
ReplyDeleteI agree with SK 101% on this. This is the best investment for being honest to the customer. They will trust you forever.
Deletetrue..honesty is the best policy!
DeleteYour business will surely thrive,, because honesty is always the best selling point,,,no gimmicks,no sweet talk, just plain honesty,,,,
ReplyDeleteagreed..we must always be honest.
DeleteIf the customer doesnt know how much he has in his wallet, the chances of him coming back is almost nil.. or if he knows that he overpaid, he also wont come back cos how to argue? so i guess this RM50 will be under "unclaimed" account. :) But on the positive note, hope he sees this post and comes back... and he will give high praises to your shop... :)
ReplyDeletetrue..will ask my people to keep an eye if he comes back..will return to him definitely. RM50 is a lot!
Deletethe customer also forget the money that they had take out..
ReplyDeleteyes, sometimes that could happen..
Deletei think later the customer will start thinking on where he/she spend the money..
ReplyDeletewhy already less money...
maybe..I experienced that before.
DeleteI think the customer also cannot be sure it's RM50 one piece or two piece. Coz sometimes shopping tired jor will be blur sotong a bit
ReplyDeleteLooks like your staffs will have to be on the lookout for that customer. If come back again can give back to the person
Deletehope he will come back..I can recognise him.
DeleteI think maybe the first customer also thought he put RM50 only. Then the 2nd customer maybe friend wanna pay for him with the second RM50 note. Like when we go makan in restaurant and everyone rushing to pay how many RM put on the tray also not sure.
ReplyDeleteCould be the customer also not sure how much he have in his pocket Maybe thought spend it already. Hope he come back and then you can return to him
Deletehaha..that does happen in our life ie rushing to pay for our bill.
Deletecctv really helps a lot
ReplyDeletethe first time i saw the picture i though something horrible happened
thanks god there's none
indeed cctv is very useful..we can playback..
Deletemaybe he was thinking of something else thats why he didnt noticed that happens to me quite often
ReplyDeletethat can happen to practically everyone..
Deletei guess he would not go back to redeem he's lost money but i hope he does
ReplyDeletelet's hope he will come back..
