Sweaty hands

My girl has sweaty hands but I'm not sure since when she started experiencing it. Her hands are not just sweaty but sweat could be dripping from her hands too..

When she was 12 years old, she had to make her identity card. I took her to the department and it was so difficult for the officer to get her thumb print. Her prints were not legible. Finally I had to use my thumb print to acknowledge her almost illegible thumb prints.

She has to use handkerchief very often and it has affected her when she writes. Anyway, she can cope with it and she is still happy..

  3. My ex-colleague used to be in the same dilemma, until she went for an operation to cure it. If not mistaken, there was only one specialist willing to perform the minor op on glands and nerves and he's attached to Damansara Specialist Hospital.

  6. "Finally I had to use my thumb print to acknowledge her almost illegible thumb prints."??

what did you mean?? you replace yours with her?? but i thot this is not feasible as there's no identical finger prints at all..

  7. Good that she is used to it and can adapt with this problem. No supplements / nutrient/ herbs could cure this problem ? Maybe can google for more info ?

  8. I heard that certain Chinese sinsehs could address this problems.

Honestly, this could be a problem later when applying for many types of jobs outside where sweaty palms would hinder the work. Anyway, a friend also outgrew it years later.

  14. usually when the person affected by this condition, called hyperhidrosis, they usually can cope when they are younger, but when they reach adulthood, they may have to make lifestyle changes to go around the problem.

if all other traditional treatment fails, surgery (symphatectomy) may be the only option but this would be considered minor surgery.

  15. My younger son have the same problem as your daughter, he's managing well, despite working with tools at works. Just need to wipe the hand more often. It was difficult to get his thumbprint for making IC, but the officer keep on wiping his thumb and managed to do it eventually. Because of this he was not posted to the army or police when he was drafted into national service as sweaty hands are exempted from holding weapons, so he was posted to Civil Defence, and he managed well then .

Actually the matter can be resolved, just need an operation near the armpit to stop the gland from producing the sweat but we decided not to do it, since it's not life threatening and a cosmetic procedure.
