Goodbye Telford Court

My girl in UK has stayed in Telford Court since September last year. That means it has been almost 10 months since she left for her studies in University of Hertfordshire. We have been paying 500 pounds for practically 10 months for the rental. It's about RM2,500 every month. On top of that, we sent 500 pounds every two months for her expenses. My girl is a thrifty one and she survived on that. I was always worried if that amount was enough.

So yesterday, she has moved to a new place which is so much cheaper as she shares her room with another student. She told me that she has got herself a part-time job which can occupy some of her free time. Soon it will be her graduation. I will be there for her graduation which is in November.

At the meantime, goodbye Telford Court!

  17. Good that your daughter is thrifty. £500 for two months should be enough. I remember using £30 per week for food for two persons when I was living there but of course have to cook at home and not eat out. My rent was only £575 per month but that was for a whole 2-bedroom house. Guess the rental went up a lot now.

I guess you must be looking forward to November to see your daughter again. All the best to your daughter!

I reminded her that she was even screaming that it was so high in those days! I saved her money by not going to study in Japan.
