Tiananmen Gate

Our tour leader took us to Beijing but when we reached there, a Chinese tour guide took us around.

See..our tour guide was explaining to us about the Tainanmen Gate.
He was well-versed in Indonesia language.

We had a group photo taken.

The slogans on Tiananmen

"Long live the People's Republic of China" and

"Long live the unity of the people of the world"

are written in Simplified Chinese from left to right.

  7. It's both grand and horrific - grand in being the largest public square in the world, horrific for being the site of the brutal crackdown on protesters in 1989.

  8. Ah the "notorious" 64 place. June 04 was the date of the massacre. tQ.
