Cake Craze

I used to bake cakes since I got my microwave oven many years ago when my kids were still young. I liked to bake cakes specially for them. They loved cakes. 

But my baking craze was lapsed for quite a number of years. Now I'm back into action. Trying to bake as perfect as possible.

 
This was the best butter cake that I had baked in April this year. I had always wanted to bake the zebra cake but I didn't actually know how. Recently I googled it and somehow learned the proper way to do it.

I was indeed happy that it came out so nice especially the zig-zag patterns.

Recently, I had been baking not solely for myself. I did it as a small business for my shop. I have to work hard in the sense that I need to promote to my customers gradually.

The boss laughed at me. He said he needed to create a corner for me to bake cakes and whatsoever pertaining to food.

I was amused but I did it just for fun as I love baking and preparing food...

    I like to eat marble cake. I call the cake marble cake and not zebra cake because zebra cake sounds like having zebra in it as in banana cake has banana in it. So you are taking orders from your customers in the shop and baking for them?

      My mother baked so much in her lifetime that she only needed less 30 minutes to bake whole cake when she knew friends were on their way to visit her. She always surprised them with warm and moist cakes. During her funeral, almost everyone said they missed her Thai Laksa and cakes instead of ask me be strong. LOL

      Tunku Abdul Rahman was also her fan for Thai food. No kidding.

    I remember how nice the smell was when the marble cake is just freshly out from the oven !! Heaven !!

We visited the famous Harrods.. the Harrods building   the store's interior has an Ancient Egyptian theme... Twin bananas

Today this cute little darling visited me. His grandparents brought him over for the very first time. He's so cute as he smiled readily. I was tempted to carry him and he was fine with that. Some babies don't like strangers.  I carried him and kissed his cheek several times..So adorable. Without hesitation, I gave him an ang pow. his granddad put him on the table and I took a shot of him.. When I went back home in the evening, I realized that the bunch of bananas at the altar has ripen. I brought the bunch to my shop and shared with my people. There was this particular twin bananas and my worker wanted them. She peeled them and I could see that they were adjoined all the way down.
