Old Swiss House

In Lucerne, we had a stopover to admire the beauty of this old swiss house which is half-timbered. The restaurant is decorated in 17th-century style, with porcelain and antique glass, hand-carved oak doors, wooden stairways, leaded- and stained-glass windows with heraldic panes from 1575, antique silver, and old pewter. source

Just opposite the Omega, is the Bucherer..We got a souvenir from here..a Bucherer spoon . Rolex is the word! After visiting the Chapel Bridge, we went to view watches at Omega.. Omega SA is a Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Biel/Bienne , Switzerland. Omega is one of the most known and recognized watches in the world. Omega watch was the choice of NASA and the first watch on the Moon in 1969. Omega was the official timekeeping device of the Olympic Games. James Bond has worn it in films since 1995; other famous Omega wearers are John F. Kennedy , Prince William , Buzz Aldrin , Joe Biden , George Clooney , Nicole Kidman , Michael Phelps , Zhang Ziyi and Cindy Crawford . Chapel Bridge

The Chapel Bridge is a covered wooden footbridge spanning diagonally across the Reuss River in the city of Lucerne in central Switzerland. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Chapel, the bridge is unique since it contains a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century, although many of them were destroyed along with most of the centuries old bridge in a 1993 fire. Lucerne is a city in north-central Switzerland in the German-speaking portion of that country. We walked from our hotel to the central of Lucerne. It's just a short distance away. Finally, the Chapel Bridge..

Astoria

22jun & 23jun11: We stayed at Hotel Astoria in Lucerne. We dined in at one of the restaurants in the hotel. Scrumptious! After the meal, we headed to our rooms and had a good night sleep before we explored Lucerne the next day.

Glacier Chocolatier

At Beaune, I was more attracted to the glacier chocolatier.. I simply admired all those chocolates and I just bought the macarons. They were simply delicious.
