weight gainer

Let's talk about my boy. He used to be skinny. We are so used to that already and I thought it doesn't matter to him. But one day, he told me he wanted to be fatter. I just told him to eat more especially protein-based food. But he's complaining that I don't cook much protein-based food so how is he going to eat more. I tried my best to cater for him. Actually he is a very picky eater too.

When I was at Bangsar Village recently, I came across a shop that sells GNC products. It has weight gainer 1850. After some recommendation, I bought it at RM126. It's about 2kg. Quiet a big tank of protein powder.

Before I bought it, I called my boy to ask if he would take it. He said OK. He started taking it..Initially he took three cups ie 3 spoonfuls of the powder mixed with a small packet of full cream dutch lady milk. He took it twice a day.

After a week, he has gained 1 kg. Then yesterday, he told me that his heart beats fast. I suppose that 's the side effect of the weight gainer. I told him to stop taking for a few days and see what happen. If it's back to normal, then it's really the side effect. I told him to start on it gradually and not to jump on it eagerly. But he didn't listen. Now he has to listen to what I have to say..

weight gainer to supplement and not as your sole food..

  14. I seldom take any supplement, because I prefer "natural" food, hahaha~

But when we are getting older and our diet is much more restricted, I guess that is the time supplement plays the role :)

  17. In Sibu he will eat Kampua Noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is full of fatty starch and he will be happy & bouncy!

  18. I buy a lot of supplements from GNC until my drawers are full. I also bought their protein powder which could help burn fats during gym.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. but make sure you also take them..otherwise, it's a waste..

      Delete
  19. I bought their 3 tubs of powder cheaply during GNC fair. I regretted as too much protein daily caused mucous to form and clogged my whole ENT system. I tried so hard to remove the phlegm and mucous but failed. Even doctors could not help.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Like what Sk advised, your son can slow down the consumption for a while. In cease his exercise routine and his body will adjust to the protein powder gradually. Most importantly he needs to exercise daily.

    ReplyDelete

    1. guess we hardly exercise which is not good..

  21. Ahahaha seems our dear fellow oldie bloggers all wanna lose weight (moi included). Perhaps instead of GNC, your may wanna put him on Ensure milkpowder. It has helped many kids that i know of, and it's not as expensive as GNC.
