Resignation

This staff has been with us for almost a year and eight months. When he came in last March, he was very enthusiastic. I remember he told the boss to give him three weeks to learn up everything about his work load.

He is actually a very hardworking person but at times his memory failed him. He told us that he had an accident when he was very young, He had to be saved as his skull was a bit injured. We fully understood his condition so we made sure that we don't stressed him up.

He is moderate in his job and the boss is not too happy. He used to make mistakes and forget things easily. His system of work is not systematic too. But he's good in recognising the herbal stuff as he is well-versed with it.

But working with us doesn't mean he just does his own stuff. He has to do other stuff too which made him a very busy person.

On the other hand, he's a jovial person. Even though he got scolded by the boss most of the time, he still managed to maintain his own self. I truly respect him on that.

He got confirmed after 4 months but recently when he reached a year, he still hasn't got an increment. According to the boss, he's still not happy with his work so no increment yet.

So just two days ago, he handed in his resignation letter. He has decided to quit and work somewhere else in KL. He said he wanted a better prospect. I believe he's not happy working here as his boss is always too bossy and likes to scold.

The boss now felt that he's going to lose him. Too late as this staff is going to leave us for good. Even though the boss offered to increase his pay, he wouldn't withdraw his resignation option.

Anyway, he has been a good staff and a good colleague to the others too. So in conjunction with his resignation, I decided that we give him a farewell lunch next Sunday..

I would like to thank him personally as he has been very helpful to me. He helped me to do some stuff like fetching my boy from school and even helped me to pay some bills.

Thank you very much, L.
We shall miss you and your funny jokes..

  5. Got an old ex-colleague who always get an increment each time he tenders his bye bye letter not only that promotion comes along too. He is good at his job and also a blue eye boy of the MD. He has all the chance to be the next GM but turned down the offer as he prefers not to be relocated but to stay put in Penang.
