Yee Sang
For the past years as a mum, I had never prepared yee sang before. This year somehow challenges me to do it. I am planning to hold a reunion gathering for my CJ friends and we have to prepare something. Unexpectedly, I decide to prepare yee sang even though I have not much knowledge about it. To make justice for myself, I start googling and somehow it has boost my confidence.
To prepare a trial version, I had prepared for our reunion lunch.
To my surprise, my people loved it!
They didn't mind another one. Here's for CNY 1st day lunch.
For CNY 2nd day lunch, we had it at a restaurant in Taiping.
Still the first one was the best among the three!
Happy lou sang!
Happy Chinese New Year!

ReplyDeleteI have not challenged myself to do the yee sang yet..and not ready to do so this year because I have gotten a small packet of ready made yee sang from a hamper given by our company's contractor, no one wants it so I brought it home. Happy Chinese New Year to you & family!
ReplyDeleteHappy Chinese New Year to you and your family! Good effort in making your own yee sang! Are you going to post the step by step guide on making this yee sang?
ReplyDeleteHappy Lunar New Year to you and your family...
ReplyDeleteSo clever Wenn! Good try... one day can do that for sale in CJ too! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New year! I got the Manjoong Yee Sang near the old Lido cinema ... not bad.
ReplyDeletewhen you say "preparing" your own yee sang, you mean you did that from scratch?? your plate looked rather professional.. my "preparing" would be to buy from restaurant or supermarket and then just place them all on a plate.. hahahaha!! :D
ReplyDeleteYour Yee Sang looks better than most restaurants. Next time you can pack them into Chang Jiang boxes to sell. I am sure many would order from you!
ReplyDeleteI have eaten Yee Sang 4 times so far and looking forward to another 3!! I love to eat them.
ReplyDeleteYour yee sang looks good, next time can consider doing our own yee sang, much healthier too I suppose!
ReplyDeletei think.. I'm late to sent you greeting here..
ReplyDeletehappy chinese new year !
