Simple lunch

My husband loves to buy durians but he wouldn't eat at all. I had to finish them most of the time. My boy won't eat and my girl would just take a seed or two. Firstly, he bought two whole. Not long after, he bought another two when I told him that they were delicious. Then again, he bought more. This time they were already packed in plastic containers.

Durians are rich in nutrient.
Durians are naturally rich in potassium, dietary fibre, iron, vitamin C, and vitamin B complex. The king of fruits is thus excellent for improving muscle strength and blood pressure, bowel movements and skin health. It also supports the nervous and immune systems, and enhances red blood cell formation.

I like to take durian with plain rice as lunch.

Yesterday, I just fried fish and took it with lettuce and some rice.

Simple yet delicious!

  6. I wish my husband would buy me durian and let me eat all. Unfortunately, I can't eat too much else I'd be sick. Sigh! My father-in-law used to buy durian for me but after he felt sick with stroke, the whole family has avoided durian at all cost. Sigh! I miss those times where the whole family got to eat durian together.

    1. It's rather heaty but I drank lots of water. Indeed it improves bowel movement. Not too about it's goodness to skin. Anyway, I don't have skin problem after eating.

That lettuce is simply nice. My boy and girl love it too. My hamsters too..

      Have a nice day, Angeline!

  16. I love to eat durian and eat them as my main meal without any rice. Durian and rice are both carbohydrates, eating both of them together will give me too much sugar at one go. How nice of your husband to always buy durian for you to eat when he himself does not eat them.

    Have a nice day!

  17. I like to eat fish but seldom eat fried fish because I want to eat less oil so I will go for steamed fish. Trying to eat healthy. I like your simple lunch because I like to eat raw vegetables like raw lettuce.

You can keep the uneaten durian in container and put in freezer, they can last longer. ;) I stopped eating durian many years ago. Just fed up with it, and never crave for it since then. Lol

    2. i hardly fried fish for meals..scare the oil jump on me. If we were to have fish, I would go for sliced Tenggiri, less hassle to handle and easier to pan fry. The bones are bigger too for my little girls to notice them.
