Deepavali dinner

As many of my customer friends are Indians, I decided to give them a treat. It was held at the Chinese restaurant in the YMCA building.

I booked two tables for the 19 of us. Before we started the dinner, I had to give the prize to the winner of the Saree challenge at Chang Jiang. 

She was clad in saree but I was clad in an innovated one.

From 7pm onwards, one by one started to take their seat at the restaurant. Then came the pre-ordered dishes. We had rice and there was a bowl of soup too.

Most of them had Chinese tea but some of us had red wine which I brought along.

Simple yet appetizing ones.
And it's reasonable too.


After the dinner, we gathered at the living hall for a photography session. We took quite a number of shots.

They thanked me for the treat but I thanked them for their presence!

    So so nice of you to give your customers a treat this Deepavali.. Food looks good, I think I will keep refilling on the rice curry vegetables.. Love the santan gravy..

    Vanakum! WENNder Woman you are always so kind to think of others. I wished I am staying in Ipoh too and sure can tumpang gembira to makan too. I would not mind coming in the dhoti clothes with SK Thambee. LOL

At Harrods

We visited the famous Harrods.. the Harrods building   the store's interior has an Ancient Egyptian theme... Harrods is a high-end department store located in Brompton Road in Brompton , in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea , London . Twin bananas

Today this cute little darling visited me. His grandparents brought him over for the very first time. He's so cute as he smiled readily. I was tempted to carry him and he was fine with that. Some babies don't like strangers.  I carried him and kissed his cheek several times..So adorable. Without hesitation, I gave him an ang pow. his granddad put him on the table and I took a shot of him.. When I went back home in the evening, I realized that the bunch of bananas at the altar has ripen. I brought the bunch to my shop and shared with my people. There was this particular twin bananas and my worker wanted them. She peeled them and I could see that they were adjoined all the way down. Well, old wives tale has it that those ladies who ate them would give birth to twins in future..
