A new gate


We finally got our new gate on the 5 Jan 2016.

A lot of preparation was done before the new gate was fixed. 

First and foremost, the boss paid a deposit of RM50 at the Homez fair recently. It's on the 29 Nov 2015. After a month, they came to tear down our old gate which had not been functioning automatically for a couple of years. We had to push the gate and it was tough as the gate was real heavy. But luckily, we had a smaller manual gate.

In fact, the boss had once paid a deposit and it didn't materialize. This time, when he did it again, we were still skeptical about it. 

Finally, our dream came true and the boss had to pay a hefty sum of RM8320 just for the gate itself. Not sure of the other payment yet.

So nice to have a new gate. The old one was fixed in year 2000 when we first shifted in. Imagine the gate had been around for 16 years..

    Glad you got your new gate. I understand how troublesome to push the gate. Been there before.

    wow!! that's indeed a very hefty sum for the gate!! but I guess it is expected to last for 30 years huh, but then for safety reasons this is something you need to invest :)

    Mine is also around 17 years.. not yet changed gate but the control one has changed two times.. Your gate looks very solid!

    It's good to get a new gate as over the long run, it may be cheaper than maintaining the old one.

    Wow, that was expensive gate. Anyway, CNY is coming soon, maybe replacing the old gate wuill bring something good to your family beside safety. Hehe..

At Harrods

We visited the famous Harrods.. the Harrods building   the store's interior has an Ancient Egyptian theme... Twin bananas

Today this cute little darling visited me. His grandparents brought him over for the very first time. He's so cute as he smiled readily. I was tempted to carry him and he was fine with that. Some babies don't like strangers.  I carried him and kissed his cheek several times..So adorable. Without hesitation, I gave him an ang pow. his granddad put him on the table and I took a shot of him.. When I went back home in the evening, I realized that the bunch of bananas at the altar has ripen. I brought the bunch to my shop and shared with my people. There was this particular twin bananas and my worker wanted them. She peeled them and I could see that they were adjoined all the way down. Well, old wives tale has it that those ladies who ate them would give birth to twins in future..
