WW GattinaCats There are many cats just outside our back door. They used to rest here as we have a few potted plants. During meal times, they would come when my children just call Titi. The whole family would come. Titi Titi's son Titi's extended family Waiting patiently for their meals. Waiting impatiently for their meals. All in the family .. Lovely..

We went to Bukit Merah Laketown quite some time ago. The resort is only a 3 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur and easily reached just off the Bukit Merah toll exit along the North-South Expressway. We like the Orang Utan Island the best. The island is the world's first orang hutan conservation and rehabilitation centre. The resort was set up as an orang utan sanctuary to educate, research on and better understand this protected species. We got the chance to observe their behaviour up close and personal, as we were taken through a 100-metre steel-cage tunnel. We took a 10-minute boat ride from the main jetty at Marina Village. An island dedicated to the preservation of this endangered primates. For Scenic Sunday I posted about humming bird on 7 Sept 2009. It has been almost 2 months. The flowers which the bird visited have grown a lot. Now you can see 8 tiny flowers. See the measurement. The flowers are so nicely arranged. This group has only 7 flowers. Look at the branches and the leaves. I used to see the bird coming to the plant. But every time I wanted to video it, it would fly away. My son managed to take some of its pictures. The bird was looking at the camera. Then it was looking at the flowers. It was sucking nectar from the flower. It took a last look at the camera before it flew away. One day, my daughter caught it in action. A Very Special Visit!

We were on our way from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur (KL) a day before Hari Raya Puasa. It was raining all the way. That was why the cars opposite us had their headlights switched on. People were travelling up north to celebrate the festive occasion. But we were traveling down south. The traffic was so congested. Almost bumper to bumper. We almost reached KL. But it was different on the next day, that was on the first day of Hari Raya Puasa. On our way back from KL (travelling North) the next day. The day was clear. Not much traffic on this day. Diwali is the Hindu "festival of lights" which celebrates the New Year. The festival of lights is held in honour of Lakshmi , the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity. Hindus pray to Lakshmi to bring them good luck in the coming year. For Deepavali, I wrapped some small gift for display at my husband's shop. Firstly, I wrapped this kind. It contains jellies, pudding, wafer and choclairs. Next, I did this simple gift. Just Cadbury chocolates and Yochelle chocolates. This is also full of chocolates. This has a combination of a bottle drink, chocolates n pistachios. They were all wrapped using the hamper wrapping style. You can refer to my post on Selamat Hari Raya last month. Hindus decorate their homes and temples by drawing patterns on the ground outside. They draw the designs with a mixture of rice flour and water. Coloured powder, such as sand, is sometimes used. I was getting out from my house and I saw a tiny bee near the lime plant in front of my house. It was so busy that it didn't bother me for videoing it. All bee s visit flowers in their quest for nectar and pollen, and most will visit whatever is blooming. As they buzz around collecting food, they unintentionally act as a door-to-door pollen delivery service, providing the plant with a crucial step in its life cycle. If you have edible fruits in your garden, you may notice that good pollination will increase your yield of apples, blueberries, and many others. My lime plant yields lots of lime. two almost ripe limes among many unripe ones not many flowers left
