Experiences

It has been 11 days since my husband had his minor surgery. He was discharged after a night stay at the hospital. Then he rested at home for two days and I had to take care of the shop full time. But he went back to work immediately after that. However, he still took his rest at night while I stayed till the shop closed. He went back to the clinic for follow-up by himself. I didn't need to accompany him.  His sundry association people heard about him and they came in full blast with the basket of fruits. The next day, a sales executive from a company presented him with another basket of fruits. So many fruits are scattered all over my dining table..I have to finish them up as soon as possible..  My husband doesn't like to eat fruits but surprisingly, he asked for an orange just now. I'm sure many of us don't realize that today is Parents' Day. You might ask, "Why Parents' Day?" As how I see it, Parents' Day are meant for both parents who are still very much alive and together. Mother's Day/Father's day is significantly for those who have only a parent. Yet for those of us who have both parents, we still celebrate Mother's Day/Father's day. I'm sure most of us won't be celebrating Parents' Day. But to my own judgement, Parents' Day should be celebrated as a whole. We don't need to celebrate the days separately. Unless we have no choice and can only celebrate either Mother's Day or Father's Day.. Well, I have introduced Parents' day to my customers and friends. I even had a contest whereby participants had to post a photo of his/her parents, write something about them and get votes for them. My intention was to give to my blogger friends. I noticed that some of my blogger friends visited my blogs even though I had no time to visit them in return. So I had chosen 8 friends. I had sent two postcards earlier and I didn't take the picture of them. But these 6 postcards were only sent this morning. This morning, I wanted to boil lotus root soup. So I took the shredder and started shredding instead of cutting. I was almost done when my girl called me. I looked away and my fingers were still working. Suddenly, I felt something..  I had accidentally sliced off a tiny piece of my right little finger. It was bleeding profusely.. I had to used the tissue to stop it but it took about 15 minutes before it really stopped bleeding.  So this was the culprit. I would be very careful next time..

This was our third hotel which is in Vienna, Austria. My girl told me that she wanted to bake a mud cake specially for me. She has already got what she needed except cups. I showed her my cabinet which is full of cups. She chose two cups - a green and a maroon.  When I came back from work late at night just two hours ago, she showed me the cake..and she wanted me to try it straight away.. mmmm.....yummy.... I didn't get to see how she baked it but she has a video on it.  Watch it from here .
