Thanks for sharing the photos. My family and I are heading to KK in Sept for a wedding. We've never been there before, and have been searching for ideas. Did you visit Mt Kinabalu? I heard there are some places to stay overnight in the foothills.
Since it was the Sultan of Perak's birthday, I had decided to visit the royal town in Kuala Kangsar. Two of my good friends went along with me. I drove them to my Punjabi friend's aunty's place in Kuala Kangsar. Aunty made us the mango drinks which indeed quenched our thirst. I was amazed by the Punjabi bed. It's made of weaved plastic and ropes too. Since the auspicious day coincided with the birthday of the Sikh Guru, we were taken to the Sikh temple nearby. I was glad to be in such a religious and clean place. We were needed to be on barefoot and cladded with a head scarf. it's a first time experience for both my Chinese friend and myself. After the prayer with the chanting from the priest sitting in front, we were given a sweet dessert which I must receive it with both palms. Of course, we had to eat it. We adjourned to the dining hall and had our breakfast. The Punjabi tea was totally different from our usual tea. Since we had ...
This friend of mine, is a kind person. When he has any second hand Brooks shoes, he will call me and ask if I want them. My answer is definitely 'Yes!' He is a dealer in Brooks shoes and he always likes to try on different kinds of shoes. After that, he would just sell them away cheaply. Many months ago, I had bought two pairs from him and recently, my husband told me that those two pairs were almost worn down. So I had to ask this friend if he had any second hand shoes. He told me that he had this very pair which he only wore it once and he's selling it at RM180. Grabbed it and gave it to my husband. He wore it immediately for his meeting last night. After that, he will wear it for his daily work at the shop.
My husband loves to buy durians but he wouldn't eat at all. I had to finish them most of the time. My boy won't eat and my girl would just take a seed or two. Firstly, he bought two whole. Not long after, he bought another two when I told him that they were delicious. Then again, he bought more. This time they were already packed in plastic containers. Durians are rich in nutrient. Durians are naturally rich in potassium, dietary fibre, iron, vitamin C, and vitamin B complex. The king of fruits is thus excellent for improving muscle strength and blood pressure, bowel movements and skin health. It also supports the nervous and immune systems, and enhances red blood cell formation. I like to take durian with plain rice as lunch. Yesterday, I just fried fish and took it with lettuce and some rice. Simple yet delicious!
You know anybody there? Don't miss the tamu at Gaya Street tomorrow - only on Sunday mornings...or the Filipino market.
