Full Moon

My husband and I attended a full moon dinner at 7pm today. We reached there early and as we waited, we ate the red egg which symbolized the baby's full moon. 

The red egg was an appetizer as we had to wait another hour for the course to start.


The first dish was the rice wine chicken..tasty and I had 2 small bowls of the nutritious soup.


The second dish - a variety of food.


The third dish - look like shark's fin soup but it's not.

I didn't take the photos of the others which was rather normal.
We had the prawns, fish, mixed vegetables, steamed glutinous rice and dessert.

Last time, I used to take pictures of all the dishes. Now I am rather selective. 
And I hardly bring my camera along. I just use my hand phone camera if it's needed.

    Is it a relative/friend/colleague who celebrate their child's full moon?

      i don't like the taste of the rice wine chicken, so my "first dish" would definitely be the platter.. haha!!

      yeah, i think if you've been to those wedding/full moon dinner often, you'd notice all the dishes are the same.. :p

      full moon dinner is very rare and the only difference is that there are red eggs and rice wine chicken.

      most restaurant food are more or less similar . Just the Chef who cooks the meal makes a great difference

      It's the first child full moon..
      True, we always got to wait and I don't like it.

    I never attend any full moon parties before..
    it is normally they just give us some biscuit and so..

      Me neither.... never attended any full moon parties in restaurant or so.

      Usually get the full moon package. But I don't mind, as long as I have the nasi kunyit :D :D

We visited the famous Harrods.. the Harrods building   the store's interior has an Ancient Egyptian theme... Twin bananas

Today this cute little darling visited me. His grandparents brought him over for the very first time. He's so cute as he smiled readily. I was tempted to carry him and he was fine with that. Some babies don't like strangers.  I carried him and kissed his cheek several times..So adorable. Without hesitation, I gave him an ang pow. his granddad put him on the table and I took a shot of him.. When I went back home in the evening, I realized that the bunch of bananas at the altar has ripen. I brought the bunch to my shop and shared with my people. There was this particular twin bananas and my worker wanted them. She peeled them and I could see that they were adjoined all the way down.
