Plain truth

At about 4pm today, one of my staff found a RM50 note just under the counter. She gave it to me and I told my three cashiers that I would keep the note first. When I checked their cash machine later, I would know whom it belonged to.

So later I checked their cash machine, none of them had a shortage of RM50. Immediately, my first cashier recalled an incident.

I checked the cctv:

Earlier at about 2.40pm, two customers wanted to buy a RM80 hamper. One of them put two pieces of RM50 on the counter. There was a gush of wind and the notes flew down towards us. My cashier just picked up a piece and showed to the customer that it was not enough. The other customer quickly just gave another piece of RM50.

I wonder why the first customer didn't voice out that he had given RM100. After paying, they went out with the hamper without making any noise.

I hope they would come back and I would return the RM50 to them..

It belongs to them..

  7. If the customer doesnt know how much he has in his wallet, the chances of him coming back is almost nil.. or if he knows that he overpaid, he also wont come back cos how to argue? so i guess this RM50 will be under "unclaimed" account. :) But on the positive note, hope he sees this post and comes back... and he will give high praises to your shop... :)
