Short holidays

We saw my BIL and SIL last Saturday and today they are back to Australia. They were here for just 10 days. Before they came here, they were in Phuket for a short holiday.

Each time my BIL comes back, he wants to visit Sam Poh Tong where his late parents' ash pots are placed. So yesterday we went together for Cheng Beng for the very first time. My husband got up early to buy some vegetarian food and kueh for the prayer. 

When we reached Sam Poh Tong at 7.30am, only a few visitors were there. It was not congested and we were done by 8.30am.

We went back to First garden for our breakfast. We finished breakfast at 9.30am and we hurriedly went back as both of them would be traveling to KL before they caught their flight back to Australia.

Hope to see both of them again..probably next year.

    Next time you can go visit them there.. Austrailia is quite near compared to US or UK. :)

    Good to hear that your BIL finally fulfilled his wish to visit his late parents' urns and all of you get to perform the cheng beng ceremony. They accomplished a lot during their short holidays here.

    haha, i guess it was about a two-week holiday for your BIL and SIL?? not really a short holiday to me.. but i am sure they certainly would love to stay longer, and you wished you had more time to bring them around the places.. :)

    Your BIL is a very good and filial son! He always remember to visit and pay respect to his late parents. Not many people will do that these days.

We visited the famous Harrods.. the Harrods building   the store's interior has an Ancient Egyptian theme... Twin bananas

Today this cute little darling visited me. His grandparents brought him over for the very first time. He's so cute as he smiled readily. I was tempted to carry him and he was fine with that. Some babies don't like strangers.  I carried him and kissed his cheek several times..So adorable. Without hesitation, I gave him an ang pow. his granddad put him on the table and I took a shot of him.. When I went back home in the evening, I realized that the bunch of bananas at the altar has ripen. I brought the bunch to my shop and shared with my people. There was this particular twin bananas and my worker wanted them. She peeled them and I could see that they were adjoined all the way down. Well, old wives tale has it that those ladies who ate them would give birth to twins in future..
