Venice

When we reached the Milan Malpensa Airport in the morning, we were tranfered to Venice straight away. After our lunch at the local restaurant, we went to the pier.


There, we waited for our private boat at 2pm.

It took about half an hour to reach the other side.
We could view the St Mark's Square from the boat.
Most of us wanted to experience the gondola which cost us 30 euro each.



It's just like punting in some other countries.
It was a good experience.

Next, we went to the St Mark's Square.
An interesting place full of people..
and pigeons too..

    Ahhh, Venice, nice place.. I mean well known la, if go Italy sure we think of few places - Venice, Florence & Rome.. What lunch you had there? No food pictures?

    Venice is sinking soon, I heard.. hahaaha..so must go and see before it does.. dont know true or not.. Romantic city, right?
    Following tour really no wasting of time.. Have to pay 30 euro for the gondola? Not cheap but then have to pay to experience, right? :)

      It's true. The city is not sinking but because of global warming, the water level has risen and in some parts, people had to abandon the ground floor and move upstairs.

    yeah, i like Venice, it's a very beautiful place but then the bad thing is that this tiny little place is always packed with visitors.. i wish to go there once again :)

    Venice is still the same as 20 over years ago...very special place to visit..I did not ride on a gondola then because no budget at the time..

    Venice is so romantic! I would love to ride the Gondola with my wife someday to experience the charms and sights of the buildings lined along the canal's banks. So many movies have been filmed there.

We visited the famous Harrods.. the Harrods building   the store's interior has an Ancient Egyptian theme... Twin bananas

Today this cute little darling visited me. His grandparents brought him over for the very first time. He's so cute as he smiled readily. I was tempted to carry him and he was fine with that. Some babies don't like strangers.  I carried him and kissed his cheek several times..So adorable. Without hesitation, I gave him an ang pow. his granddad put him on the table and I took a shot of him.. When I went back home in the evening, I realized that the bunch of bananas at the altar has ripen. I brought the bunch to my shop and shared with my people. There was this particular twin bananas and my worker wanted them. She peeled them and I could see that they were adjoined all the way down. Well, old wives tale has it that those ladies who ate them would give birth to twins in future..
