Pineapple

Image
My boss always buys a pineapple to be placed on the altar every first and fifteen day of the Chinese calendar. After a few days, it will ripen. After which I will throw away. Not anymore since I knew how to cut it easily. Read my post here on how to cut it. I will keep it in the fridge first. When I'm free, I will cut it and keep it in the tupperware. I can finish it in two days. But this time I finished it in a day. Firstly, I had some left-over chilly prawns. Heated them up and poured them over the pineapple. That's my lunch. The boss bought fried rice for me so I had early dinner at the shop. When I came back in the evening for a short break, I poured the left-over rojak sauce over the pineapple. That's my dessert for the day. The pineapple was sweet and it tasted heavenly with the sauce.  Do you like pineapples?

7 June 2015  Shirakawago Village Shirakawa-go’s Gassho-Zukuri Village was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 1995, along with the Gokayama Gassho-Zukuri Village. The gassho style of building is characterized by steep, thatched roofs. These steep roofs connect over massive wooden beams, shaped like hands folded in prayer (gassho in Japanese). The houses are unique to the region, able to endure the heavy snowfalls of winter, while the upper reaches are ideal for the cultivation of silkworms. Wada House The Wada family house is a typical "Gassho-zukuri" style house (a house built in the form of hands steepled in prayer). In common with other such houses in the village, silk production took place in the upper stories with the living quarters located on the ground floor. My girl and I just had Mickey biscuits bought from the Disneyland. love this potato crackers Surprisingly, we were taken to a Chinese restaurant for our dinner. I didn't post the pictures as they were not very tasty as compared to Japanese food. So I commented in the Prestige form that we shouldn't be served Chinese food when touring in Japan.
