A great experience
When we had seen the room, we quickly got ready to get my girl registered. We went to the Learning Resources Centre to settle a few stuff.
Then we went to the Students' Centre to pay the tuition fees.
All's done. So we went back to Telford Court.
Later my girl went for her games and quiz activities
and I stayed back in her room using her laptop..
But I went to sleep at 9pm UK time.
Malaysian time was 4am already.
No wonder I was so sleepy..
You are in UK? Wow!! How many posts did I miss?
ReplyDeleteyes but I came back already..
Deletethe building looks very nice, and i was hoping you will have coming posts to show us the campus..
ReplyDeleteyour girl is so lucky to have you with her to kick off her uni life.. i remember i was all alone with friends and we have to get things settled all by ourselves.. kids nowadays are so lucky.. :)
Deleteoh yeah, paying the tuition fees!! that must be a huge bomb to your bank account right?? hahaha.. anyway, you have prepared that and your girl should leave the uni with a 1st class honour!! :p
Deleteyeah, jetlag!! haha, besides i think you've been running up and down traveling too, that's why you've been so tired.. and did you suffer another round of jetlag when you're back to Ipoh??
Deleteyes, I wanted to make sure everything is fine there so that I feel more at ease.
Deletejetlag but not so serious..I'm back to normal very soon..
So good that you can put up in your daughter's room while she attending her other activities.
ReplyDeleteIt must be so tired to run all errands and you retired to bed at 4am Malaysia time.
DeleteI am sure your girl will remember you accompanying her on her first few days in UK. She will remember this for life.
Deleteyes, guests were allowed only 48 hours at her place. I was not tired but only bored of the flight..
DeleteYour girl is so blessed.. can study overseas.. :)
ReplyDeleteit's an exposure for her..
Deletehope you have recovered from the jet lag by now
ReplyDeleteoh..I'm fine already..
DeleteGlad to hear that . :)
DeleteI am used to it already..

ReplyDeleteThat Uni is so big. Got specific centre for them to some extra activities and attending extra classes too.
Hopefully more updates about your girl over there. Did she called up? msn? sms? You must miss her alot.

thanks..
DeleteThe building looks well maintained and new. Good la, at least not like ours here.... old and haunted-look-alike. Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteOh, your girl stays at Court G at Telford? Hehehe, she's so happy posing in front of her hostel.
DeleteI asked her if she missed us and she said not yet..
DeleteYour daughter looks really happy. :)
ReplyDeleteshe's used to be away so no problem for her..
DeleteYour daughter was lucky to have your attention and companion that time. She could settle down quickly with confidence! Good!
ReplyDeleteI am sure she will..
DeleteI was alone in US and it was quite tough for me to settle down as I had culture shocks and felt so alone in a strange place then. I realized I came from a less developed country and saw coins coming out of ATM machines! That was in 1992!
ReplyDeleteactually it's rather scary if we are alone..
DeleteI was so scared and worried for a few days until I made friends with my Japanese room mate who assured me many things. How I wished my mom was there to protect me! Ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteluckily you found a new friend..
DeleteYour daughter will probably never feel home sick but happy in the new place! I never missed home too!
ReplyDeleteyes, probably she won't be homesick as we can talk to each other through skype..
DeleteShe will definitely enjoy her Uni life. Wah...your sleep seems like went haywire in UK. haha
ReplyDeleteyes, she will..jet lag for me..
