Phone Bypass
I remembered when I was working as a clerk at a company in Petaling Jaya. I was away from home. I missed home especially my bf. At that time, I didn't own a hp. I wanted to call home from the office during the lunch break but I would have to pay for the calls.
Seeing how miserable I was, a colleague taught me how to bypass the operator. He taught me the technique of tapping on the hook.
I tried it and it really worked. I didn't have to pay a single cent when I called home.
But of course, we kept it a secret. During lunch hour, no one would be at the office except me as I always ta-pau food to work.
I would use my colleague's table phone and it went on for quite some time until I left the company for college.
Finally, I finished my course at the college and when I was back home, I rented a room near my bf's shop. One day, I was so careless that I locked my room key inside the room. The landlady was not home at that time. I was all alone.
A little panic, suddenly I recalled the phone technique that I learnt 4 years ago. Sorry I still didn't own a hp.
I started using the house phone which was locked. I didn't need to dail the numbers as I just tapped on the hook.
Surprisingly, it worked. I called my bf to rescue me before my landlady found out.
My bf came in a flash, climbed up the gate and then up to my room's balcony. Luckily the window panes were not closed. He managed to get my keys and rescued me.
That was the last time I used the bypass technique. Now I always make sure I have my hp with me.
Have you experienced being locked in somewhere?
