Chicken Curry
Whenever I yearn for chicken curry, I would usually buy ready-cooked ones. But this morning, I tried to cook on my own.
This was the first time I tried cooking chicken curry with the instant curry paste.
the instant chicken curry paste
the instructions are very simple..
Firstly, I peeled the potatoes and then boiled it till they were soft.
Next, I fried the paste with the chicken till aromatic.
Then, I added the potatoes and some water.
I let it boiled for sometime before I poured low fat milk into it.
Lastly, I simmered it for about ten minutes.
the result?
I love it! It's not too spicy and most importantly, my boy and my girl finished it!
haha,..you know what...my kid sample the maggi perencah for curry and he loves it. Keep asking my wife to buy it and cook for him!
ReplyDeletesimple and yummy..
DeleteYummy, yummy. I like curries that are not too spicy, especially the potatoes in the curry. Your curry must be really delicious!

Deletehahaha, i love chicken curry but most of the time i just take the gravy and the potatoes only, i don't quite go for the chicken.. or maybe just one or two small pieces of chicken breast if i could find them.. :p
ReplyDeleteI love the gravy and potatoes too..
DeleteGood morning Wenn...

DeleteThat bowl of curry chicken looks delicious although with instant curry paste
ReplyDeleteThere are a few instant curry paste brands are very good too. My mum like to use Babas
ReplyDeleteWenn, you should know me well. I like to bake more than cooking...
ReplyDeleteI must go look for Mak Nyonya. Want to cook curry chicken too...
ReplyDeleteWenn, wish you have a nice day. I'm working today..sob sob...
ReplyDeleteAngeline, have a nice day! I'm working too..
DeleteCooking with instant paste made cooking so easy and fast. :)
ReplyDeleteindeed fast and easy..
DeleteIt has been some time since I last cook curry chicken.. I remember adding in lots of garlic and onions last time.. now not so rajin already.. :)
ReplyDeletehere I didn't add any garlic or onions..
DeleteWow, your curry looks good!!
ReplyDeleteCurry is such an ideal meal to go with plain white rice!!
I prefer not-so-spicy curry, just like the Japanese curry, cause I can eat more, haha xD
DeleteIf too spicy, can't able to eat a lot.
I don't like too spicy too..
Deletewell that sure is very convenient
ReplyDeleteand the taste were just as same as
the home made anyways
and as for people like me
ReplyDeletewho doesnt really know how to cooks that
helps a lot
and in addition to that
ReplyDeleteit is as well time efficient and
more affordable
however, since this has preservatives
ReplyDeleteI think it's not healthy to do in this in daily basis, so if given a chance still try
to do it in a natural way
have a great day and happy blogging wenn
ReplyDeletetake the best of care and god bless you
true, all processed food has preservatives. Hence not too healthy. Have a great day too..
DeleteYummy!! I feel like eating chicken curry now!
ReplyDeleteI simply love chicken curry too..
DeleteI love chicken curry but I usually use Babas paste.
ReplyDeleteBabas paste needs other ingredients whereas this does not require any extra ingredient.
DeleteBut still sedap.....nyum nyum
Deleteyes..enjoy!
DeleteMy wife will make her own paste which is delicious. Ha :D
ReplyDeletethat's better..
DeleteMy husband makes the best chicken curry, but I'm afraid I rarely watch him make it. Now you've made me hungry.
ReplyDeleteoh, you should observe him..
DeleteWow! you cooked chicken curry for the first time using the ready mix paste! There are so many brands in the market and some are really good with fragrant smell. I have tried them and added curry leaves with the bark to enhance the taste! Great to go with potatoes.
ReplyDeleteI know the Chef Celebrity Agnes chang and she herself taught me to buy all ready mix pastes to cook various dishes as busy workers like us have no time to make original pastes. She taught me to just add in some seasonings to perfect them.
Deleteit's so convenient to use the ready paste..
Deletesimple yet yummy..
To be honest, I have never cooked curry dish. First, curry is not my favourite dish, for that reason I never put an afford to learn how to cook it. Secondly, my girls do not like hot and spicy dish so this is another reason why i still have not tried cooking curry so far in my cooking.
ReplyDeleteI don't like too spicy hot curry so if I were to cook curry I will definitely want to find one that is not hot one, probably I will consider this Nyonya brand next time since it is not the hot one..:D
DeleteLove curry chicken!!! =]
