Our first flight to Singapore

My first time to Singapore was with my best friend by car. My second time was with my husband for our honeymoon by coach. My third time was with my mum and my girl by flight. After that, I had been to Singapore many times.

We took our first flight from Ipoh to Singapore but it made a stop in Melaka for the custom check.

We stayed at my cousin's place and I arranged a meet-up with a school friend. But we visited places on our own.
At that time, my girl was three years old.

She loved the animal show the most.
Until today, she simply loves animals.

    wow.. forgotten that those days they use Pelangi from Ipoh.. Nowadays they use Firefly and it is not cheap... to and fro can cost around 500rm to 700 depending on when you book.. but one thing, it is very convenient.. can reach SG in a matter of one hour and more... :)

    yeah, if i can choose i would also like to go to SG by flight now.. albeit the time taken (inclusive early arrival in airport and all the check-ins etc) would be around the time taken to travel by road, at least the journey is short.. just hop on the plane and within a blink you are there in SG..

    These photos will surely bring back pleasant memories for your daughter. She was so young then. Now she is all grown up.

    Flight from Ipoh to Singapore but made a stop in Malacca for custom check - I find that a bit unusual to have a custom check in Malacca. Shouldn't the custom check be done when you just arrived in Singapore?

    I remembered visiting S'pore Bird Park when I was in my primary age. Then, visiting S'pore again during Christmas time to view the beautifully decorated Orchard Road. That was during my secondary age.

    everything has remained the same, incl the shows at s'pore zoo. only difference is the airport in Melaka is a white elephant, catering to small planes to pekan baru, Sumatra.

    My first was family vacation many years ago when I was small. 2nd time with college friends in Dec 1998. And 2nd time an overnight with hubby's family for transit to Korea few years ago. Plan to go to Spore bringing my kids next year

Twin bananas

Today this cute little darling visited me. His grandparents brought him over for the very first time. He's so cute as he smiled readily. I was tempted to carry him and he was fine with that. Some babies don't like strangers.  I carried him and kissed his cheek several times..So adorable. Without hesitation, I gave him an ang pow. his granddad put him on the table and I took a shot of him.. When I went back home in the evening, I realized that the bunch of bananas at the altar has ripen. I brought the bunch to my shop and shared with my people. There was this particular twin bananas and my worker wanted them. She peeled them and I could see that they were adjoined all the way down. Well, old wives tale has it that those ladies who ate them would give birth to twins in future..
