My birthday giveaway

 9 September 2013, Monday

Well, birthday or not, I still had to work. It's nothing special to me. I went marketing as usual in the morning. Then I cooked lunch for us. After lunch, I went to my husband's shop as usual at 12pm.

Then my usual work started..being a cashier and a clerk. I thought the boss had forgotten about my birthday. Surprisingly, he whispered into my ear, 'Happy Birthday!'

Later I became an accountant plus treasurer. Writing cheques and handling cash. While handling the cash, the boss was beside me and he passed a stack of cash to me. He said, 'For you!'

Oh, that was nice! I can use it to exchange some pounds..Thank you, boss!

In the evening, I went back for my dinner. After dinner, I went back to the shop and I did something to commemorate my birthday. I had a giveaway. Those tumblers were extras from the Dutch Lady Milk Powder Free Gifts. I gave away 12 tumblers. Only one recipient was not there as I just gave it to her aunt.

Of all the recipients, I love this little girl. She was pestering her mum to buy this and that. The mum said that her girl could buy everything from the shop if she could. I had a good laugh! Never mind..after all, she's going to be my future customer!

When my girl in UK was around, she used to buy birthday cakes for me. So this time, I thought I wouldn't be getting any cake. But to my surprise, my little girl bought a cake for me! Thank you my girl!

So only my boy, my girl and I were at the living room celebrating my birthday after I came back from work late at night.

  2. You even had merit making on your birthday to give away some gifts! That will bring you abundance of blessings in return! This practice is quite common in Thailand.

  14. Hello Wenn,

Here's wishing you again Happy Belated Birthday! As always you are so nice to your customers by giving them free gifts to celebrate your birthday.

So romantic lah your boss, to whisper in your ears, happy birthday. Your little girl is all grown up now, taking over her elder sister's place to buy you your birthday cake. You are indeed blessed to celebrate your birthday with your children.

    Good night. Sweet dreams!
