Wow that's a 'huge' collection. Watched that Hindi movie too think in the 70's. Yeah the Hindus pray to Lord Ganesha.
ReplyDeleteLord Ganesha — the elephant-deity is the Lord of success and destroyer of evils and obstacles. He is also worshipped as the god of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth. Ganesha is one of the five prime Hindu deities (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and Durga being the other four).
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember that movie... Elephant my friend and another famous one Bobby.. do u remember?
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have seen Bobby..
DeleteWow! What a huge elephants collection! : )
ReplyDeleteAccording to feng shui expert Lillian Too, elephants help to protect you against burglary.
ReplyDeleteI also watched Elephant My Friends when I was a child and cried my heart out when the animal died. My servant had a hard time to calm me down inside the cinema. What a silly me!
ReplyDeleteI must meet your hubby someday!!!!! I am also a very firm believer in elephants and this is the first time I see someone who has so many! I must start collecting them too.
ReplyDeleteI was told that those with the trunks sticking up would suck money $$$$$$$. No wonder your hubby has become an ATM machine!
ReplyDeleteNext time I see elephants with trunks sticking up, I will buy to put in my house.
DeleteMy wife did not allow me to ride on elephants when I was in Cambodia. She said thee animals are supposed to be sacred and yet humans abused them. Your husband was born with such a good wisdom too. I am sure he won't ride on elephants too.
ReplyDeleteAiyoyo, now only I know this. I have ridden elephant twice la! First time in Bangkok and second time in Chiang Mai. I feel very guilty now.
DeleteI love the 2 elephants on the altar and the white one from Greece. They look powerful lah.
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful collection.
