A date
My husband doesn't believe in celebration. It's always me who would initiate it for us..It's always me to buy birthday cakes for my kids. Since he doesn't like celebration, I had stopped buying cakes for him.
But this time, I reminded him early in the morning yesterday. I just simply said, "Today is our anniversary!" No reply from him but I was sure he heard me.
So we carried on with our work. After some time, I came close to him and whispered, "Wanna go makan tonight?" Yet again no reply from him.
I presumed he's not bothered. So I just forgot about it. I went back for my dinner and when I came back later, I was surprised that he said, "Tonight we go makan."
I was happy and at the same time bemused!
Dismissal time a little earlier. At the door, he said, "I'll wait for you." I needed to go back and change. He had gone back earlier and taken his bath.
I quickly took my bath and changed. He came back and we had a shot of ourselves.
Happy Anniversary to us!
Then we went out searching for food. Finally we stayed put at the third place. He started talking about work and I said, "Don't talk about work! Let's talk about us!"
We had a nice meal and came back feeling so full..
Hello Wenn,
ReplyDeleteYou must be feeling sweet at the end of the date. He must have read your romantic message on this blog. :)
A very nice photo of you both. Next time, you must blog about your courtship story, how you both started dating and became a couple. I am sure it is very interesting. Please? Thank you.
Good night. Sweet dreams!
Yes, Wenn, blog about like what Mun mention, hehe...
DeleteIndeed I felt good as we hadn't gone out as a couple for quite a long time. It must have been years. We usually go out with the kids tag along.
DeleteOk, I try..Btw, my husband doesn't read blogs..
your boss is surely a very subtle person and doesn't like things to be done in a loud and high-profile manner.. but i am sure he heard you (deep in the heart) when you told him and WHISPERED to him about the anniversary.. :p
ReplyDeleteI knew that as he needed time to think about it. I prefer this way than him giving his answer straight away..
Deletegreat!! i think you had a wonderful dinner with him yesterday, enjoyed "chang toi geok" with him so much and i can see how sweet you both smiled from the heart from the photo!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to do something on a special day..
DeleteIf me, I would have slapped him in face the 2nd time he ignored me. Lol!
ReplyDeleteBut glad he read your mind. That is the way, man!
Glad both of you enjoyed the dinner and came home happily.
That is a nice picture. Loving couple.
Oh, it was supper already. I couldn't finish my share..
Deletewell, at least he showed his respect..
The boss doesn't talk much ah....
ReplyDeleteStill nice dinner. Love your dress
Usually we don't talk much in the shop..
DeleteWhat a cool Boss! hehehe...
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to both of you again!! Sweet!!
acted cool..he could be very sarcastic..
DeleteHe cares but just doesn't show..hehe. At the end both of you had a romantic dinner...that was a sweet ending. Btw, you look great!
ReplyDeleteI knew he cared..he doesn't like to show it..
DeleteHappy anniversary to you and hubby! That's a very sweet photo~
ReplyDeleteIt's surely a great idea to go dating once a while even we already have kids ;)
yes, I should date him on special days..
DeleteSo sweet! Certainly one for the album, that picture of the lovebirds. :D
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary again, Wenn!
Psst.. he must have read your loving blogpost?
yes, one for the album..
Deletebut he doesn't read blogs as he doesn't go online..
Good afternoon Wenn...
ReplyDeletegood evening, Sharon!
DeleteJust curious, does your hubby read your blog?
ReplyDeleteNo, he doesn't..
DeleteNice picture...
ReplyDeleteHave a great evening ahead...
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
DeleteHi Wenn, I was missing in action yesterday because my son had a fever and I became a 1-day-stay-at-home-mum to takecare of him. Don't feel good sending him to the nursery when he is still having fever.
ReplyDeleteWow, feel so sweet eh.. Hinted two times (today is our anniversary+go dinner tonight), but he showed no signals, but deep inside, he still cared and took you out for dinner afterall. I love your last sentence "Let's talk about us". Gawd, my heart would melt because my hubs is not a sweet talker and he never talk sweet things to me b4. His mouth is "see hum jui" (kerang mouth)..
**By the way, you look like 30 in the photo :)
This is so sweet in the end!!! =]
ReplyDeleteAwwww! So sweet post! Both of you dated again. Did he give you a diamond ring?
ReplyDeleteYour hubby is already the 3rd generation Chinese in our country but he behaves a bit old fashioned sometimes. That makes a good family man.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you can force him to go for a honeymoon next year.
ReplyDeleteI forgot about my anniversary this year and my wife fooled me to turn up in the posh restaurant to "meet her and her classmates".
ReplyDeleteI was stunned to open the menu and see her Wedding Anniversary card inside!!! Goodness! I could not swallow the food well out of guilt. LOL
I lost my focus and forgot to snap any photos to blog about it. Maybe I should ask her to show me her photos and I will blog about it later. Malu lah me!
