9th CNY

I haven't come back for prayers for quite a number of years. So yesterday I decided to come back Taiping to help my mum and sister with the prayers.

It was quite fun to witness the prayers.

  1. we just have a normal prayer at home but unlike those Hokkien families that will be having grand celebrations.. neighbour opposite will be burning fireworks and firecrackers, and this is the day every year that i will not be able to go to sleep early.. too noisy and worse still the noise of their kids running around wildly, shouting and screaming, duh~~

  3. Your mother and sisters must be very happy to see you back this year to help them with the prayers. Around my place, not many Hokkeins people so seldom see elaborate prayers setup like this but can hear lots of fireworks and firecrackers yesterday in the wee hours. 1.45am they were still letting off firecrackers.
