Oranges Cutting
When I was in college, I used to peel the oranges skin with my hand. Then I would eat it with my hands messily.
But, I don't do that anymore. I prefer to cut it than peel it.
Yesterday, I wanted to cut oranges for my girl and myself.
I cut them into halves:
horizontally and vertically.
Then I cut them into smaller pieces.
I prefer to cut it horizontally
but my girl prefer it to be cut vertically.
How about you?
But my husband is different:
He likes to buy fresh orange juice for me but he always adds honey into it.
It really tastes great with honey added.
Good morning Wenn,
ReplyDeleteI peel the skin of the orange using a knife without exposing the sacs so the orange juice will not drip out. Peel oranges just like the way apples are peeled using a knife. Then I break the orange apart using my hands and eat it segment by segment. Not messy at all because I don't expose the sacs so orange juice will not drip out.
I find that cutting an orange horizontally or vertically causes a lot of orange juice to drip out and is quite messy.
ReplyDeleteGood night Wenn. Hope you have sweet dreams!
ReplyDeleteI still peel them by hand..even if it is messy!
ReplyDeleteI prefer horizontally.
ReplyDeleteIf making orange juice horizontally is better.
DeleteMy hubby prefer to have it vertically.
Deletei have the same problem too.. whenever i peel oranges, i tend to grab it too hard and in the end i'm like squashing it up and making a mess!! hahaha~~
ReplyDeletethat is why i rather not eat oranges or have it sliced before eating.. or else i just resort to mandarin oranges which are easier to peel.. :)
ReplyDeleteBTW, which do you find easier to peel?? cut horizontally or vertically??
I still prefer horizontally..
DeleteI always love to cut the orange instead of peel it!!! Actually the truth is I'm lazy to peel it, hehehe!!! =]
ReplyDeleteI also would like to cut instead of peeling but the two bosses refused....insist on me peeling LOL
ReplyDeletelast time i used to marvel at the "pattern" of the cut oranges...especially near the bottom side
DeleteI prefer to peel with hands, it's yummier and juicier that way, hehehe.... ^^
ReplyDeleteMakan saja. Either way also same
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Wenn...
ReplyDeletepeeling is fine for me, cutting is also fine for me, juice also fine, hehe...
ReplyDeleteBut if orange juice, i lazy to squeeze, buy from fruit juice stall or packet from Supermarket...
ReplyDeleteHave not tried adding honey into orange juice, must try out one of the day...
ReplyDeleteHave a great evening ahead...

Deleteanyway that way was i think better and cuter haha
i haven't tried orange juice with honey,
ReplyDeletehaha i want it more on the sour taste it feels
healthier too
have a great day and happy blogging wenn
ReplyDeletetake care and god bless you
Your husband is very sweet like honey! He is so caring!
ReplyDeleteThis is something new to me to eat oranges being cut horizontally. Where did you learn to eat like that??? It must have brought you abundance luck!!!! I must buy oranges tonight and cut them horizontally!
ReplyDeleteI love oranges but i am too lazy to cut them myself to eat. So I would often buy a carton of Peel Fresh and drink whole day at work. I heard they don't add sugar or colourings, so it is as good as eating fresh oranges.
ReplyDeleteI think many moons ago you have blogged about hubby going for operations. Then I suggested that you squeeze lots of fresh oranges, right?? My 85 years old father looks good with nice body & facial complexion at his old age. I suspect it must be the years he drank overdosed orange juices, squeezed by my old mother. My mother looks otherwise as she didn't drink them.
