My Precious Hamsters
Initially, it was my girl in UK who took care of the Papa hamster. Then she bought Sammie, a wife for Hammie. Sammie gave birth twice. The first round of 6 babies were all dead. The second round of 6 babies were safe except one.
Sammie has 3 male babies and 2 female babies. All the females can't get along so they are all in different cages. But surprisingly, the 3 male babies survive living together. Occasionally, they do fight too.
Since my girl went to UK, my little girl has to take over the responsibility. But recently, she has started her A-level. So it became my chore now.
I need to change their bedding at least once a week. They need to be bathed too. Of course, not with water but bathing sand..
I put some sand into the basin and let them bathed one by one.
Hamsters know how to bathe themselves..
I love to look at the way Sammie sleeps..
She likes to squeeze in between the wheel and the side of the cage.
After busying with the hamsters, I can easily wipe the floor now with this
Method Squirt & Mop floor detergent.

The hamsters are so cute to know how to bathe themselves with bathing sand.

DeleteOMG look at Sammie, the way she sleeps!! how acrobatic!! this is so uncommon for a hamster to sleep this way right?? i'm so afraid she might fall down suddenly when she's dreaming sweet~~ :D

ReplyDeleteBut bathing I never bathe them with sand. The pet shop owner never told us to do so. He just told us to change the bedding only.

DeleteWe had 2 hamsters before, my girls wanted them. So we bought a pair home. they like to see them but hardly wanted to clean them up. I ended up have to do the dirty job.
ReplyDeletewe bought small cages for each of the hamsters and bought a bigger one subsequently equipped with wheels, little house and tubes.
Delete1 died and 1 escaped. and now we left with no hamsters and my girls did not ask to buy any more hamster. Less job for me and the "fully equipped" big cage is now vacant :D
