Vinegar for cleaning
Recently, I was boiling something and I went out to the front for a short while. When I returned, my pot was burnt. I just left it there and just soaked it with water. I hate to scrub this kind of pot. So I decided to throw it away.
But I still didn't get it thrown away. I read somewhere that vinegar could get rid of tough stains. So this time, I got hold of the vinegar. I soaked the pot with some diluted vinegar overnight.
It was badly burnt.
The next morning, I scrubbed the pan.
Wow, it worked!
So I kept on scrubbing and scrubbing at ease.
The pot can be used again!
Not bad! I learnt a new household technique.
ReplyDeleteBut this does not work on non stick pot or pan right?
DeleteTaking apple cider vinegar got a lot of health benefits too..it is vinegar, it cleanses our body..:D
DeleteHello Wenn,
ReplyDeleteLuckily you did not throw it again since it can still be used after you cleaned it with vinegar.
Good night!
Good evening wenn!
ReplyDeleteI heard bout the use of vinegar in cleaning, but never know that it really worked!!
DeleteThe pan looks like a brand new one!
I use vinegar to clear the kitchen pipe whenever it gets a bit clogged.
ReplyDeleteJust pour vinegar into the sink, leave overnight and walla! Clear drain the next morning. No need to buy expensive & over-rated drain de-clogger. ;)
Not bad, luckily it works!!! =]

Good evening Wenn, that's a brilliant idea. I must tell my mom about it too.
ReplyDeleteAt lest you can used back the pot and do not have to find a replacement.
ReplyDeleteHey that must be a very good quality pot, or else it burnt with a hole in it.
DeleteNever know vinegar can do so many amazing things. It is cheap though if to compare with other kinds of cleaning products. I should say I'm lucky, coz I don't have to clean so many things...
ReplyDeleteWow! Another educational post!
ReplyDeleteI love to read all your DIY and Home Remedies besides simple cooking made easy for nerds like me. Muahahahahaha
ReplyDeleteWhen I had stubborn stains like that I could only think of VIM and steel scrubs! They also work well but with scratches on my pot making them ugly indeed.
Deletewow, amazingly clean and it didn't need you to scrub till your hands get tired huh?? have heard lots of ways to do this, like lemon and coca-cola, i think probably they are all very acidic..
